Malik Fathi
Malik Deniz Fathi (born 29 October 1983) is a German former professional footballer who played as a left-back. Club career From 2003 to 2008 he played as a defender for Hertha BSC. On 12 March 2008, he signed for Spartak Moscow. In January 2010, he was loaned to 1. FSV Mainz 05. This move was made permanent in July 2011. He was loaned to Kayserispor for the 2012–13 season, but at the end of the winter transfer window of 2012–13, he joined TSV 1860 Munich on a half-season loan. On 14 April 2014, it was announced that his expiring contract at Mainz 05 would not be extended. On 30 January 2015 he moved to Spanish Segunda División B club Atlético Baleares. Fathi played almost 100 league matches in the third highest level of the Spanish football pyramid. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. It was below the top two professional leagues, the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga) and the ''Segunda División'', and above the ''Tercera División''. The DFL-Ligapokal (, officially Premiere Ligapokal , previously DFB-Ligapokal ) or the ''German League Cup'' was a German football competition that took place before the start of the Bundesliga season, featuring the top five teams of the previous Bundesliga season and the winners of the DFB-Pokal in Germany. The cup was known as the Premiere-Ligapokal after 2005, when Premiere, a German pay television network, took up sponsorship of the competition. The Ligapokal was not held in 2008 due to schedule crowding caused by the UEFA Euro 2008. Instead, the German Supercup was held on 23 July. The Ligapokal was not held in 2009 either, due to the German Football Association's decision to abolish it. The Bundesliga (; ), sometimes referred to as the Fußball-Bundesliga () or 1. Bundesliga (), is a professional association football league in Germany. During the 2003–04 season, Hertha BSC competed in the Bundesliga. Season summary After five seasons of finishing in the European places, Hertha slumped to 12th, seven points clear of relegation. Manager Huub Stevens had paid for the poor form with his job in December, and his replacement Hans Meyer failed to continue Hertha's streak of European qualification. Thomas Hitzlsperger (born 5 April 1982) is a German director of football and former footballer who played as a midfielder. In February 2019, he was appointed Head of Sport of VfB Stuttgart and was subsequently promoted to CEO. In March 2022, he stepped down from this position. As a player he spent the early part of his career playing for Aston Villa in England (accompanied by a short loan spell at Chesterfield), before returning to Germany to play for Stuttgart, where he was a member of the team which won the Bundesliga in 2007. In 2010, he signed for Italian side Lazio, before moving back to England to join West Ham United later that year. He then had brief spells with Wolfsburg and Everton. Marcell Jansen
Marcell Jansen (; born 4 November 1985) is a German former professional footballer and current president of Hamburger SV. He also plays for Hamburger SV III in the Oberliga Hamburg. He was well known for his accurate crossing and pace, despite his tall stature. A versatile player, Jansen primarily played as a full back or wing back on the left flank, but could also play as a left-winger.
