Malek Mouath
Malek Ali Mouath Al-Hawsawi ( ar, مالك علي معاذ الهوساوي) (also named Malek Maaz officially by FIFA ) (born 10 August 1981) is a former Saudi Arabian professional footballer. Mouath originally played as an attacking midfielder but was converted into a striker after moving to Al Ahli. He played for the Saudi Arabian national team and participated in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Club career Early life Mouath was born in Medina, Saudi Arabia in 1981, when he was a teenager. The 18th Arabian Gulf Cup ( ar, was the كأس الخليج العربي) 18th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup. It took place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from 17 to 30 January 2007. The tournament was won by hosts UAE, who beat neighbors Oman 1–0 in the final, courtesy of a goal by Ismail Matar who finished the tournament as top scorer with five goals in all. The UAE became the fifth country to lift the title after Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. In the competition there was also some very serious disciplinary problems with a total of 38 yellow cards and 7 red cards awarded in only 12 matches. Sami Abdullah Al-Jaber ( ar, سامي الجابر; born 11 December 1972) is a Saudi Arabian football manager and former professional player who played as a striker. He spent the entirety of his career with Al-Hilal apart from a five-month loan to English club Wolverhampton Wanderers. Al-Jaber is his country's second highest international goalscorer with 46 goals in 156 internationals from 1992 to 2006.
