Maldivian FA Charity Shield
Maldivian FA Charity Shield (currently known as Milo Charity Shield due to sponsorship reasons) is a newly introduced match that was founded in 2009. Dhivehi League Champions and FA Cup Champions of the past season will play in this match. The winner of the match will be granted with a cash prize, where 20% of the total amount will be donated to a social working organization. Matches Below is a list of the Charity Shield winners. Maziya S&RC
Maziya Sports and Recreation Club is a Maldivian professional football club based in Malé. They compete in the Dhivehi Premier League, the country's top division. The club was formed in 1996 and was promoted to the first division for the first time in 2006. History The club was founded on 23 January 1996. The club is one of the most successful clubs in Maldives, having won the top tier domestic league thrice in 2016, 2019–20, and 2020–21. In the 2022 AFC Cup groups-stages, Maziya witnessed a 1–0 defeat to Bashundhara Kings, but won their second match against Gokulam Kerala. 2017 Maldivian FA Charity Shield
The 2017 Maldivian FA Charity Shield, (commonly known as the 2017 Milo Charity Shield due to sponsorship reasons) was the 9th Maldivian FA Charity Shield, an annual Maldivian football match played between the winners of the previous season's Dhivehi Premier League and FA Cup. The game was played between Maziya, champions of the 2016 Dhivehi Premier League, and Valencia, champions of 2016 Maldives FA Cup. This was the fifth appearance of in the Maldivian FA Charity Shield Maziya, and second appearance for Valencia. Valencia won its first edition in the year 2009, defeating VB Sports Club. Maziya made their first appearance in 2013 and has been making back to back appearances since then, winning twice; in 2015 and 2016 defeating New Radiant on both occasions. Mohammad Umair
Mohamed Umair (born 3 July 1988) is a Maldivian professional footballer. In his career Umair has played as a defender, midfielder, and forward. International career Umair made his debut for Maldives on 8 October 2007, in a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Yemem and later he was substituted for Mukhthar Naseer in the 60th minute at the Ali Muhsin Al-Muriasi Stadium. He has represented his country at the 2011 SAFF Championship and the 2013 SAFF Championship. In the latter tournament he scored a goal from a free kick against Bhutan to tie the score up at 2–2. Ibrahim Fazeel
Ibrahim Fazeel (born 9 October 1980) is a Maldivian footballer nicknamed "Oppo", who can play both as a midfielder and as a forward currently who plays for Llangefni Town FC He started his career while he was a student in Majeedhiyaa School in 1999. Fazeel played his first international match on 2 April 2000 against Syria (AFC Asian Cup Lebanon 2000) and scored first goal in the Golden jubilee international tournament against Bangladesh. He is the only player who scored for times in the semi-finals to take Maldives to the finals. After his international duty in 1999, he signed for his first club New lagoons in 2000. Ali Ashfaq (; born 6 September 1985) is a Maldivian professional footballer who plays as a forward and captains the Maldives national team. Nicknamed "Man of Steel" (), he is regarded as one of the best players in the South Asian region. A prolific and individualistic goalscorer, he is a free-kick specialist and a clinical finisher. New Radiant Sports Club is a Maldivian professional football club based in Henveiru – Malé, Maldives. The club was founded on 19 August 1979 by Ahmed Waheed and his friend Ahammadhanik. New Radiant has won all domestic competitions being held in the Maldives and the club is the most successful in the Maldives in terms of trophies won and is also the most successful Maldivian club in the international arena. The 2020 Maldivian FA Charity Shield, (commonly known as the 2020 Milo Charity Shield due to sponsorship reasons) is the 11th Maldivian FA Charity Shield, an annual Maldivian football match played between the winners of the previous season's Dhivehi Premier League and FA Cup. The game was played between Maziya, champions of the 2020–21 Dhivehi Premier League, and runner-up Eagles, as the 2020 Maldives FA Cup was cancelled and declared null and void due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in the Maldives.
