Malaysia Federal Route 53
Federal Route 53, or Jalan Seremban–Port Dickson, is a federal road in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, connecting Seremban to Port Dickson. The 33.2 km (20.6 mi) Federal Route 53 became the backbone of the road system linking Seremban to Port Dickson before being surpassed by the Seremban–Port Dickson Highway (E29) in 1998. The Kilometre Zero of the Federal Route 53 is located at Port Dickson, at its interchange with the Federal Route 5, the main trunk road of the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The Kilometre Zero monument is erected near Pos Malaysia post office at Jalan Baharu, Port Dickson. Seremban
Seremban (Negeri Sembilan Malay: ''Soghomban'', ''Somban''; Jawi: ) is a city in the Seremban District and the capital of the state of Negeri Sembilan in Peninsular Malaysia. The city's administration is run by the Seremban City Council. Seremban gained its city status on 20 January 2020. Toponymy Seremban was founded as Sungei Ujong (or Sungai Ujong), named after a nearby river of the same name. While the town was renamed Seremban thereafter, the name Sungai Ujong most prominently persists as a street name for a road adjoining the southern side of town (Sungai Ujong Road, or ''Jalan Sungai Ujong''). Lukut
Lukut ( Jawi: لوكوت; zh, 芦骨) is a suburb located to the northeast of Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. It was once part of Selangor, serving as a thriving tin mining town in the early 19th-century before being ceded to Sungai Ujong domain in 1880 to which formed part of the modern borders of Negeri Sembilan. History In the early 18th century, Chinese miners from Malacca had been allowed by Sultan Ibrahim Shah, the ruler of Selangor to mine this area. Sultan Ibrahim signed a trade agreement with the East India Company based in Penang which caused tin from the Lukut mines to be lucrative to the Selangor Crown. Sepang International Circuit
The Sepang International Circuit ( ms, Litar Antarabangsa Sepang) is a motorsport race track in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia. It is located approximately south of Kuala Lumpur, and close to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Teluk Kemang is a small town south of Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. Telok Kemang town is situated at the 11th kilometer on Jalan Pantai. The eponymous beach of Teluk Kemang is the main highlight of the town, known for its fine sands and clear emerald waters. Kajang
Kajang is a town in Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Kajang, along with much of Hulu Langat District, is governed by the Kajang Municipal Council. Kajang town is located on the eastern banks of the Langat River. It is surrounded by Cheras, Semenyih, Bangi, Putrajaya and Serdang. According to the 2020 census, the local authority area (which includes Kajang) has a population of 1.05 million people. Etymology The name ''Kajang'' is believed to have originated from the language of Temuan tribes ( Orang Asli) who populated the Langat valley in the 17th-18th centuries. In their language ''kajang'' referred to their art of weaving screwpine or pandanus leaves, which were prevalent in much of the country. Mantin
Mantin is a town in Seremban District, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. It lies along the main road connecting Kajang and Seremban. History This place has two names, Setul and Mantin. Setul is the name of a certain plant (''sandoricum koetjape''). Setul was a town with a police station. It is not at the present town of Mantin but at the 8th mile towards Seremban (junction to Lenggeng). The name Setul is still in use, in grants and licenses of land, e.g. Mukim Setul, not Mukim of Mantin. The town of Setul was transferred to Mantin. The present name of Mantin is well known for its tin mine owned by a Chinese towkay (prominent Chinese businessman), Kong Sang (广生号, actually a company's name). The Europeans called the place 'Mine Tin' while the Malays called it 'Mantin' as tin ore (''bijih timah'') was plentiful in the area.
