Gebeng Bypass, Federal Route 101, AH141, is a highway bypass connecting Jabur, Terengganu to Gebeng near Kuantan Port, Pahang, Malaysia. Route background The Kilometre Zero of Federal Route 101 starts at Gebeng Interchange, at its interchange with the Federal Route 3, the main trunk road of the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. History The highway is part of the East Coast Expressway Phase 1 project (Karak - Jabur). Construction began on 2003 and was opened to traffic in December 2006. Meanwhile, the next sections between Jabur Interchange of the East Coast Expressway to Jabur was opened to traffic on 15 July 2007. In 2012, the highway was gazetted as Federal Route 101. Karak is a small town in Bentong District, Pahang, Malaysia. Located at the foothills of Malaysia's Titiwangsa Mountain Range, it is well known as a rest town along the Malaysia Federal Route 2, Federal Route 2 from Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan and lends its name to the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Expressway, Karak Highway, or the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway linking it to the country's capital of Kuala Lumpur. Kuantan
Kuantan ( Jawi: ) is a city and the state capital of Pahang, Malaysia. It is located near the mouth of the Kuantan River. Kuantan is the 18th largest city in Malaysia based on 2010 population, and the largest city in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The administrative centre of the state of Pahang was officially relocated to Kuantan on 27 August 1955 from Kuala Lipis and was officiated by HRH Sultan Abu Bakar Ri'ayatuddin Al Muadzam Shah, the Sultan of Pahang. Gambang
A gambang, properly called a gambang kayu ('wooden gambang') is a xylophone-like instrument used among people of Indonesia in gamelan and kulintang, with wooden bars as opposed to the metallic ones of the more typical metallophones in a gamelan. A largely obsolete instrument, the gambang gangsa, is a similar instrument made with metal bars. Gambang kayu The bars of the instrument are made of a se wood, generally teak. It also found in ironwood (kayu besi). The bars mounted in a deep wooden case that serves as a resonator. Instruments typically have 17-21 keys that are easily removed, and are kept in place by having a hole through which a nail is placed.
