The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) is the Sport governing body, governing body controlling the sport of football (soccer), football in the central African country of Malawi. The Association is affiliated to the Confederation of African Football, FIFA and COSAFA. History The Football Association of Malawi has been mostly associated with the senior national team called the Flames. This team has been participating in international competitions since the 60s but has not had any honours as yet. It has qualified for the African cup of nations only one in the late 70s and the All Africa Cup in the 80s. Opah Clement Tukumbuke Sanga ( Swahili: Oppa Clement Tukumbuke Sanga ; born 14 February 2001) is a Tanzanian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Turkish club Beşiktaş and the Tanzania women's national team. Club career Clement began her career with Simba Queens, playing in the Serengeti Lite Women's Premier League. She won the league in both 2019/20 and 2020/21. Diana Lucas Msewa (born 5 November 2002) is a Tanzanian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ausfaz Assa Zag and the Tanzania women's national team. International career In 2019, Msewa earned a call up to the Tanzania women's under-20 team for the inaugural 2019 COSAFA U-20 Women's Championship. At the end of the competition they emerged champions after defeating Zambia by 2–1 in the final.
