Malatya Railway Station
Malatya railway station is the main railway station in the city of Malatya, Turkey. The station was built in 1931 by the Turkish State Railways as part of the railway to Diyarbakır. TCDD Taşımacılık operates three trains through the station: the Lake Van Express to Ankara or Tatvan, the Southern Express to Ankara or Kurtalan and the Euphrates Express to Elazığ or Adana. The station building was built in the Art deco style and is similar to the station buildings of Sivas, Manisa and Diyarbakır stations. Turkish State Railways
The State Railways of the Republic of Turkey ( tr, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devlet Demiryolları), abbreviated as TCDD, is a government-owned national railway company responsible with the ownership and maintenance of railway infrastructure in Turkey, as well as the planning and construction of new lines. TCDD was formed on 4 June 1929 as part of the nationalisation of railways in Turkey. The Turkish State Railways own and maintain all public railways in Turkey. This includes railway stations, ports, bridges and tunnels, yards and maintenance facilities. In 2016, TCDD controlled an active network of of railways, making it the List of countries by rail transport network size, 23rd-largest railway system in the world. Euphrates Express
The Euphrates () is the longest and one of the most historically important rivers of Western Asia. Diyarbakır railway station ( tr, Diyarbakır garı) is the main railway station in the city of Diyarbakır, Turkey. TCDD Taşımacılık operates the Southern Kurtalan Express to Ankara or Kurtalan and a daily regional train to Batman. The station was built by the Turkish State Railways in 1935 as part of the railway from Fevzipaşa. Manisa railway station ( tr, Manisa garı) is the main railway station in Manisa, Turkey. It is owned by the Turkish State Railways and is serviced by several regional and two inter-city trains daily. Sivas railway station ( tr, Sivas garı) is the main railway station in Sivas, Turkey.
