"Mala Santa" (stylized in all caps) is a song recorded by American singer Becky G. Written by Gomez, Luian Malavé Nieves, Edgar Semper, Xavier Semper, Kedin Maisonet and Pablo C. Fuentes, it was released by Kemosabe Records, RCA Records and Sony Music Latin on October 11, 2019, as the fifth and final single from Gomez's Mala Santa, debut studio album of the same name. Music video Due to the LP being a visual album, the song does not have an official video despite being the fifth single. Instead, it was released under the title "MALA SANTA (Álbum Visual)". The clip sees Gomez wearing two different body suits, one in white and the other in black, with a blue lighting background for the former and a red one for the latter. She performs the same choreography in one cut on both; these scenes are spliced in between each other.' Rebbeca Marie Gomez (born March 2, 1997), known professionally as Becky G, is an American singer and actress. She first gained recognition in 2011 when she began posting videos of herself covering popular songs online. One of her videos caught the attention of producer Dr. Luke, who subsequently offered her a joint record deal with Kemosabe Records and RCA Records. While working on her debut effort, Gomez collaborated with artists will.i.am, Cody Simpson and Cher Lloyd. Her official debut single, "Becky from the Block", released in 2013, received a positive reception upon its release. She released her debut extended play, ''Play It Again'' later that same year. Her second EP and first single in 2014, " Can't Get Enough", featured guest vocals from Pitbull and went on to top the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart in the United States.
