''Maken X'' is a first-person hack and slash video game developed by Atlus for the Dreamcast. It was published by Atlus in Japan in 1999, while Sega localized and released the game overseas in 2000. Gameplay has the Maken—a sentient sword-like being—"brainjacking" or taking control of multiple characters across a variety of levels; combat is primarily based around short-ranged melee attacks, with some characters sporting additional abilities such as ranged attacks. The story is set on near-future Earth during a time when the world is descending into chaos due to natural disasters and rising political tension between China and the United States. When the facility where the Maken was developed is attacked, the sword bonds to main heroine Kay Sagami and is sent on missions against the group responsible for the attack. Maken-ki!
is a Japanese manga series by Hiromitsu Takeda. It was published by Fujimi Shobo's magazine ''Dragon Age Pure'', and later ''Monthly Dragon Age'', after the former magazine ceased publishing. It has been adapted into an anime series by Anime International Company, AIC that aired on Tokyo MX in the fall of 2011. It is licensed in North America by Crunchyroll (also known as Funimation until 2022) under the title ''Maken-ki! Battling Venus''. Two OVA episodes animated by AIC and Xebec (studio), Xebec were released at February 29, 2012 and September 25, 2013. They were bundled with the eighth and eleventh volumes of the manga respectively. Ajay Maken (born 12 January 1964) is a politician from the Indian National Congress party. He is the general secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and member of the Congress Working Committee (CWC). He was formerly a minister in the Indian Cabinet of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and a minister in the Cabinet of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. He was twice elected as a Member of the Parliament of India, and three times to the Delhi Legislative Assembly. He was the President of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee.
