Makedonia Skopie
Gragjanski Skopje ( mk, Гpaѓaнcки Скопје, en, FC Citizens Skopje, sh, Građanski Skoplje) was a football club from Skoplje, Yugoslavia (now Skopje, North Macedonia). The club's major achievements were the two participations in the Royal League during the period of 1923 till 1940, and playing in the Bulgarian championship between 1941 and 1944. Between 1941 and 1947 it was called FC Makedonia. ( mk, Македониja; bg, Македония). History The team was founded in 1922 under the name FC Citizens Skopje. In 1926 they fused with FC Vardar (established in 1919) and moved to Vardar's football field at the City Park. They started competing in the Royal League in the same 1926. Kiril Simonovski
Kiril Simonovski ( Macedonian: Кирил Симоновски; 19 October 1915 – 12 June 1984) was a Macedonian footballer. He played top league football for Gragjanski Skopje, Macedonia Skopje, FK Vardar and FK Partizan. Playing career Club He started playing football in a local club in Skopje named FK Jug, before moving to Gragjanski Skopje in 1938. In 1941, during World War II and the Axis invasion of Yugoslavia, most of the region of the then Vardarska Banovina was occupied by the Bulgarian forces and in that period, Gragjanski was renamed to Makedonija Skopie. The club finished in second place in the 1942 Bulgarian State Championship, and during this period, Simonovski played two matches for the Bulgarian national team (as ''Kiril Simeonov''). The Skoplje Football Subassociation (Serbo-Croatian: ''Skopski loptački podsavez'' / Скопски лоптачки подсавез) was one of the regional football governing bodies under the tutorial of the Football Association of Yugoslavia. It was formed on 18 December 1926 having been earlier part of the Belgrade Football Subassociation. By the time of its formation it included the clubs from the districts of Skopje, Bregalnica, Bitola, Kosovo and Vranje.
