"Make a Toast" is the second and final single by American rapper Dolla's scrapped debut album ''A Dolla and a Dream''. The song was produced by Julian Bunetta and has an upbeat, triumphant feel to it. Bunetta has sung the background vocals on the chorus but was uncredited. This is also the last single Dolla released before his death on May 18, 2009. It was officially released to radio and iTunes on November 4, 2008. However, the song had been leaked to the internet long before its official release. In the song, Lil Wayne uses the Auto-tune effect for the remix. The song peaked at number 25 on the ''Billboard'' Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart. Music video An official music video was released on November 20, 2008. Roderick Anthony Burton II (November 25, 1987 - May 18, 2009) better known by his stage name Dolla, was an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. Burton embarked on his music career in 2003, with hip hop group Da Razkalz Cru, under the pseudonym Bucklyte. The group quickly disbanded, and Burton went on to work as a model for the Sean John clothing line. In 2007, Burton signed to Akon's Konvict Muzik label. Burton released three singles from 2007 to 2009. The first, his commercial debut single "Who the Fuck Is That?", featuring T-Pain and Tay Dizm, charted on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. On May 18, 2009, Burton was shot and killed at the valet stand of the Beverly Center shopping mall in Los Angeles, and Aubrey Berry was arrested for attempted murder. Berry was acquitted on all charges. No other suspect has been identified and the crime remains unsolved. Auto-Tune (or autotune) is an audio processor introduced in 1996 by American company Antares Audio Technologies. Auto-Tune uses a proprietary device to measure and alter pitch in vocal and instrumental music recording and performances. Auto-Tune was originally intended to disguise or correct off-key inaccuracies, allowing vocal tracks to be perfectly tuned despite originally being slightly off-pitch.
