Nemzeti Bajnokság III (''NBIII'', ''National Championship III'') is the third tier of Hungarian football (from the autumn of 1997 till the spring of 2005, NB III was the fourth tier, the third was NB II). The tier contains 3 groups (west, center, east) of 16 teams. From each group, the champions are promoted to the NB II. The three lowest teams are relegated to the first tier of local divisions (''Megye I.''). From NB II, the three lowest teams are relegated to NB III. The 2023–24 Nemzeti Bajnokság III is Hungary's third-level football competition. Overview Compared to last season, instead of 3 groups of 20 teams, 16 teams will compete in 4 groups. Out of the four group winners, two team will be promoted via promotion play-offs. The last 3 teams in each group and the two worst 13th placed team will get relegated. Bonyhád
Bonyhád (german: Bonnhard) is a town in Tolna County in Southwestern Hungary. Government It is governed by a city council and a mayor. The current mayor of Bonyhád is Filóné Ferencz Ibolya who has served in this capacity since 2014. Populations The town's ethnic composition includes Hungarians, Germans, Székely and Romani and the town has a long history. In the years leading to World War II, Bonyhád had a sizable Jewish population. In 1941, Jews constituted approximately 14% of the total population. The community was divided between Orthodox and Neolog Judaism traditions. At the time Rabbi Aaron Pressburger and Rabbi Lajos Schwartz were the town's Orthodox and Neologue rabbis. They accompanied their community to Auschwitz where they too were murdered. There were many in Bonyhád who considered themselves German and were members of the pro-Nazi Volksbund. The Hungarian Cup ( hu, Magyar Kupa) is the Hungarian cup competition for football clubs. It was started by the Hungarian Football Association, the ''Magyar Labdarúgó Szövetség,'' in 1909, eight years after the commencement of the Hungarian League ( hu, Nemzeti Bajnokság). Besides all of the professional clubs of Hungary numerous amateur sides take part every year. These have to qualify through local cup competitions. The most successful participant in the Magyar Kupa has been Ferencváros with 24 wins, followed by local rivals MTK with 12 cups.
