Majid (film)
''Majid'' is a 2010 Moroccan film written and directed by Nassim Abassi, starring Brahim Al Bakali and Lotfi Sabir. The film premiered at the Leighton House Museum with the Mena Film Festival. Plot The main character, a ten-year-old Moroccan orphan named Majid, has recently moved to Mohammedia with his brother. His brother is an appealing and careless drunk. Majid makes very little money on the streets selling books, and lives a very simple and disheartening life. From the start of the film, Majid is having reoccurring nightmares and soon realizes that he cannot remember his deceased parents' (who had died in a fire) faces anymore. He also realizes that he has no photographs of his parents, except for a ruined family photograph, in which his parents' heads are burnt away from the photo due to the fire. Majid (rapper)
Majid (born 1975) is a Danish rapper of Moroccan- Berber origin. Residing in Avedøre near Copenhagen, Denmark he was a contributor to Danish act Outlandish, which also hails from Brøndby Strand. Majid contributed to their tours and performed as a special guest in the warm-up for their acts. Majid Jordan is a Canadian R&B duo, consisting of singer Majid Al Maskati and producer Jordan Ullman from Toronto, Ontario. They formed in 2011 and signed to OVO Sound, the record label co-founded by rapper Drake, producer Noah "40" Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib, releasing their debut EP, '' A Place Like This'', in 2014. Majeed Syndrome
Majeed syndrome is an inherited skin disorder characterized by chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis, congenital dyserythropoietic anemia and a neutrophilic dermatosis. It is classified as an autoinflammatory bone disorder. The condition is found in people with two defective copies (autosomal recessive inheritance) of the LPIN2 gene. LPIN2 encodes lipin-2 which is involved in lipid metabolism. The pathogenesis of this mutation with the clinical manifestations has not been elucidated. Treatments Treatments for this disorder are often based on what symptoms are present in the patient. Most commonly prescribed treatments include nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), as well as physical therapy in order to prevent from muscle atrophy in patients. Red blood transfusions could also be done for patients with severe congenital dyserythrypoietic anemia (CDA).
