Majda Potokar
Majda Potokar (1 March 1930 – 25 April 2001) was a Slovenian film and theatre actress. Daughter of actor Lojze Potokar, she graduated in 1952 from the Ljubljana Theatre, Radio, Film and Television Academy. Before graduation she appeared in her first role in the 1948 film '' On Our Own Land'', the first ever Slovenian feature film directed by France Štiglic. Potokar was member of the Ljubljana National Drama Theatre ensemble during her entire career from late 1952 to 1990. Ljubljana
Ljubljana (also known by other historical names) is the capital and largest city of Slovenia. It is the country's cultural, educational, economic, political and administrative center. During antiquity, a Roman city called Emona stood in the area. Ljubljana itself was first mentioned in the first half of the 12th century. Živojin Pavlović
Živojin "Žika" Pavlović (15 April 1933 – 29 November 1998) was a Yugoslav and Serbian film director, writer, painter and professor. In his films and novels, Pavlović depicted the cruel reality of small, poor and abandoned people living in the corners of society. He was one of the major figures of the Black Wave in Yugoslav cinema in 1960s, a movement which portrayed the darker side of life rather than the shiny facades of communist Yugoslavia. Biography Pavlović was born in Šabac in 1933. When he was 19, he started writing about film and art for Belgrade newspapers. He graduated in painting at the Academy of Applied Arts, University of Belgrade, and directed his first professional film, ''Žive Vode'' (''Living Water'') in 1961. ''Don't Cry, Peter'' ( sl, Ne joči, Peter), also known as ''Nicht Weinen Peter'', is a 1964 Slovene comedy war adventure film directed by France Štiglic. Released on 17 July 1964, the film was entered in the Third International Film Festival of India (1965) in Delhi, India. The cast included Lojze Rozman, Bert Sotlar, Zlatko Šugman, Majda Potokar, Polde Bibič and Bogdan Lubej as the titular Peter. The story, set during WW II, is about three Partisans entrusted the job of safely taking three children to a liberated area, meeting German soldiers on the way.
