''Maj Rati Keteki'' is a 2017 Indian Assamese drama film written and directed by Santwana Bardoloi. The film stars Adil Hussain in the lead role. Hussain wins National Film Award – Special Mention (feature film) at 64th National Film Awards for acting in this film. Plot After a long gap of more than ten years, renowned writer Priyendu Hazarika returns to the town where once he was inspired to begin his journey as a writer. A book at times imitates the author's life. The book in question is an imaginary one, "A River Runs Ashore", woven into a meta-narrative. Memories stir and he remembers people he loved and lost. The conceit of his frequent meandering into memories gives shape to a saga of childhood and loss set in rustic North Guwahati. He admits to lacking the courage to weave a painful, harsh truth into his stories. At the end of the day however, he decides to face his own truth, alone, away from the appreciative audience. Santwana Bordoloi
Santwana Bordoloi is a director, actress, radio host and paediatrician from Assam, India. Both her directorial ventures, ''Adajya'' (1996) and '' Maj Rati Keteki'' (2017), set two decades apart, have won a National Award for the Best Feature Film in Assamese. Santwana Bordoloi started her career as an actor. She featured in popular TV series "Tejaal Ghora". This Series was directed by one of the renowned directors Kulada Kumar Bhattacharyya. Adil Hussain
Adil Hussain () is an Indian actor who has worked in Indian cinema, including art house cinema and mainstream Bollywood, as well as international cinema, in films such as ''The Reluctant Fundamentalist'' and ''Life of Pi'' (both 2012). Anurag Saikia (born in December 1988) is an Indian film score composer , music director , music producer and instrumentalist from Assam, India. He is one of the youngest composers to be awarded with Rajat Kamal for Best Non-Feature Film Music Direction for the film Yugadrashta. His mother Dipali Saikia, is an All India Radio artist and teacher and his father Dr. Anil Saikia is an academician, who was conferred the ''Pratima Barua Pandey memorial Award'' on 27 December 2011 for his contributions towards the preservation and popularization of folk culture and music of the State of Assam. Assamese Language
