Maisie Harriet Brand Bourke, known professionally as Maisi, is a British musician and social media personality from south-east London. She co-founded Loud LDN, a collective of women and non-binary musicians, has released several singles, and appeared on TikTok with her attempts to address her boyfriend's restrictive eating. Her mother is Jo Brand. Life and career Early life Maisie Harriet Brand Bourke was born in King's College Hospital to comedian Jo Brand and Bernie Bourke, both former psychiatric nurses, and grew up in south-east London. She has one sister, Eliza; as of October 2021, all four are vegetarians. Scala is a former cinema turned nightclub and live music venue in Pentonville Road, London, England, near King's Cross railway station. History The Scala was originally built as a cinema to the designs of H Courtney Constantine, but construction was interrupted by the First World War and it spent some time being used to manufacture aircraft parts, and as a labour exchange for demobilised troops before opening in 1920 as the King's Cross Cinema. The cinema changed hands and names several times through its life and also changed focus, ranging from mainstream to art-house to adult film over 70 years, as well as spending a short time as a primatarium. Piri & Tommy are an English drum and bass group, formed in 2021. The group are formed of Sophie "Piri" McBurnie and Tommy Villiers. The pair charted at number 99 on the UK Singles Chart with their single " On & On". They released their debut mixtape '' froge.mp3'' in October 2022. History McBurnie and Villiers first met in 2020 through Instagram when McBurnie found Villiers' account, messaged him, and they later started dating. They then formed the group after discussing their shared love for dance artists like Disclosure and Kaytranada. He produced Piri's first two singles "It's a Match" and " Soft Spot", the latter of which received over 18 million streams on Spotify. They later released the singles " Beachin" and " On & On". Piri
The ''piri'' is a Korean double reed instrument, used in both the folk and classical (court) music of Korea. She started playing the guitar when she was ten, and started writing when she was 14; her first works were about love and heartbreak. She was a member of several bands, including Electric Blue, which was previously known as Sunseed and dissolved during COVID-19 lockdown in the United Kingdom, lockdown.
