Don Maisey
Donald William Maisey (6 May 1915 – 20 April 2005) was an Australian politician. Biography Born in Goomalling, Western Australia, Maisey was educated at Wesley College in Perth before becoming a farmer and grazier at Dowerin. During the Depression, Maisey became active in organising primary producers and helped form the Farmer's Union of Western Australia in 1947.Whitington, p. 138. He was President of the Australian Wheatgrowers' Federation in 1954. In 1963, he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Country Party member for Moore. Frederick Charles Maisey
Frederick Charles Maisey (1825-1892) was a 19th-century English officer, archaeological surveyor and painter, active in India. His main painting technique was pen and ink, and watercolour. He was a Lieutenant in the British Army circa 1850 in the Bengal Native Infantry, and participated to the British exploration of India. Masey was in charge of the excavation of Sanchi in 1851. In 1852 he also made the earliest painting of the Temples at Khajuraho. Masey later became a British Army General on December 1, 1888. Maysey had a son, also named Frederick Charles Maisey, born on 7 July 1851, who became Lieutenant-Colonel in the British Army. Maisey Rika is a New Zealand singer, songwriter and composer, performing in both English and Māori language, Māori. Her five original albums have each reached the Top 40 in the Official New Zealand Music Chart. She was named an Arts Foundation of New Zealand, Arts Foundation Laureate in 2021, has received awards at the Waiata Māori Music Awards and APRA Awards (New Zealand), APRA Awards, including APRA Awards (New Zealand)#APRA Best Maori Songwriter, APRA Best Māori Songwriter in 2010 and 2013, and has twice won Best Māori Language Album at the Aotearoa Music Awards, NZ Music Awards.
