Departments ( es, departamentos) form the second level of administrative division (below the provinces), and are subdivided in municipalities. They are extended in all of Argentina except for the Province of Buenos Aires and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, the national capital, each of which has different administrative arrangements (respectively ''partidos'' and ''comunas''). Maipú is a town in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is the administrative seat of Maipú Partido. It has a population of 8,865. Located in the Pampa, the land is low and swampy. The predominant activity in its catchment area is cattle breeding. It is a central service provider to the rural area. Maipú is along Route 2. It is from the Buenos Aires and from Mar del Plata. Radical Civic Union
The Radical Civic Union ( es, Unión Cívica Radical, UCR) is a centrist and social-liberal political party in Argentina. It has been ideologically heterogeneous, ranging from social liberalism to social democracy. The UCR is a member of the Socialist International. Founded in 1891 by radical liberals, it is the oldest political party active in Argentina after the Liberal Party of Corrientes. For many years, the party was either in opposition to Peronist governments or illegal during military rule. The UCR's main support comes from the middle class.
