Amy Mainzer
Amy Mainzer (born January 2, 1974) is an American astronomer, specializing in astrophysical instrumentation and infrared astronomy. She is the Deputy Project Scientist for the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer and the Principal Investigator for the NEOWISE project to study minor planets and the Near Earth Object Surveyor space telescope mission. Life Mainzer received a B.Sc. in Physics from Stanford University with honors (1996), an M.Sc. in Astronomy from California Institute of Technology (2000), and a Ph.D. in Astronomy from the University of California, Los Angeles (2003). Her research interests include asteroids, brown dwarfs, planetary atmospheres, debris disks, star formation, and the design and construction of new ground- and space-based instrumentation. Ferdinand Mainzer (16 January 1871 – 3 January 1943) was a German-Jewish gynaecologist and historical author. Born 16 January 1871,Thomas Corinth, ed., ''Lovis Corinth: eine Dokumentation'', Wasmuth, 1979, p.377 Mainzer wrote his doctoral dissertation on wandering spleen. In the 1890s he worked at the Berlin clinic of the gynecologist Leopold Landau. Mainzer had artistic connections and historical interests. He married Gertrud Sabersky, a student of the artist Walter Leistikow, and his own portrait was painted by Lovis Corinth in 1899. Klaus Mainzer (born 1947) is a German philosopher and scientist. Mainzer is the president of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. He is the author of the widely translated, cited, and reviewed book ''Thinking in Complexity''. Academic career Mainzer graduated from the Landrat-Lucas-Gymnasium in Opladen and studied mathematics, physics and philosophy. In 1973, he obtained a doctorate in philosophy and mathematics fundamentals ("Mathematical Constructivism"). In 1979, Mainzer got his habilitation in philosophy with a thesis on "Space, Geometry and Continuum" at the University of Münster. In 1980, he received a Heisenberg grant. Klaus Mainzer (born 2 February 1979) is a German international rugby union player, playing for the TV Pforzheim in the Rugby-Bundesliga and the German national rugby union team. Biography Klaus Mainzer, born in Heidelberg, started playing joining local club Heidelberger TV. In 1998 he signed with SC Neuenheim. Since then he played for the SC Neuenheim. He only played one game for the club in 2009-10 because of contract disputes. He earned his first cap for Germany in 2000 and played 15 times for Germany since then. His greatest success as a national team player was the promotion to Division 1 of the European Nations Cup in 2008. His last game for Germany was in a friendly against Switzerland in 2007. Otto Mainzer (26 November 1903 in Frankfurt am Main – 28 June 1995 in New York City) was a German-American writer. He was unconventional, and wrote about issues such as free love. Mainzer was the son of Bertha Loeb. He graduated in Law in 1928 and received his doctorate in law. He then worked as a lawyer at the Berlin Court of Appeal. When he removed in 1933 because of his Jewish origin, he emigrated to Paris. Maizerets is a neighbourhood of the la Cité-Limoilou borough of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada that had a population of 14 700 in 2011. Domaine de Maizerets Le Domaine de Maizerets is a 27-hectare park owned by the Commission de la Capitale Nationale du Québec. The park is operated and maintained by the Société du domaine Maizerets, a non-profit organization that was mandated to that effect. The park offers 11 kilometers of walking trails. Bird watchers and locals frequently visit the park for its beautiful oasis of nature, which is located inside an urban area. The park features an arboretum which was created in 1997 and replaces a vacant lot formerly used as a snow dumping site in the winter.
