State Route 37 (abbreviated SR 37) is part of the system of numbered state highways of Maine, United States, and is located in the western part of the state. It runs for from an intersection with SR 117 in Bridgton to an intersection with SR 118 in Waterford. The route is also known as North Bridgton Road. The middle portion of the route is concurrent with SR 35. Route description SR 37 begins in the south at the village of North Bridgton, where it splits off from SR 117. It runs northward, crossing into Waterford in Oxford County, and intersects SR 35 near Bear Lake. Bridgton is a town in Cumberland County, Maine, United States. The population was 5,418 at the 2020 census. A resort area in Maine's Lakes Region, Bridgton is home to Bridgton Academy, a private preparatory school, and the Four on the Fourth Road Race. North Bridgton is a village in the town of Bridgton in Cumberland County, Maine, United States. It is located just west of Long Lake, and just south of the town of Harrison. In 1768, the undeveloped land was granted by the Massachusetts General Court to a group of proprietors led by a man named Moody Bridges. Settlement began in 1770, when a tavern was built. It is home to Bridgton Academy, an all-boys college-preparatory school. State Route 118 is a secondary highway located in eastern Oxford County, Maine. It runs for between the towns of Waterford and Norway. Its western terminus in Waterford is at State Route 35 and its eastern terminus in Norway is at the intersection of Main Street and Paris Street, where it is overlapped by State Route 117. Route description SR 118 begins at an intersection with SR 35 north of Waterford, near that route's intersection with SR 5. The highway departs to the east, passing through East Waterford and meeting the northern end of SR 37 before entering the town of Norway. A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons.
