The Main Street Bridge carries Sellers Street across a portion of the Silver Smith Branch in New Blaine, Arkansas. Built in 1922, it is a closed-spandrel masonry arch bridge, built out of locally quarried stone. It has a total length of and is about wide. It is named "Main Street Bridge" because Sellers Street was known as Main Street at the time of its construction, and was the principal route from the railroad depot to New Blaine's commercial and industrial area. The oldest portion of this bridge consists of two flattened-arch spans, each about in length, with a total bridge length of . The bridge has been widened twice to accommodate increased traffic; the most recent widening was in the 1960s, when concrete abutments were added to the south, and the added section completed with I-beams. The Main Street Bridge in Columbus, Ohio is a , three-span, inclined tied arch bridge over the Scioto River. The bridge is the first in North America and the fifth in the world to use an inclined single-rib-tied arch superstructure. The final cost for the bridge was $60.1 million. It carries Main Street (U.S. Route 62 and Ohio State Route 3) northwest from Downtown Columbus into Franklinton, splitting into Rich and Starling Streets just west of the bridge. History The original Main Street bridge was a Whipple through truss bridge built in 1890 over the Scioto River. It was lengthened in 1917 using two spans salvaged from a railroad bridge a short distance downstream of the bridge. Rainbow Arch Bridge (Valley City, North Dakota)
The Rainbow Arch Bridge at Valley City, North Dakota, also known as Main Street Bridge, is a Marsh Rainbow Arch structure that was built in 1925. The Main Street Bridge, once known as the West Main Street Bridge, is a historic pony Pratt truss bridge crossing the South Branch Raritan River in Clinton of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The Main Street Bridge, historically known as the Califon Bridge, is a Pratt thru truss bridge that carries Main Street ( County Route 512) over the South Branch Raritan River in Califon, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 14, 1976 as part of the Califon Historic District. With History The iron truss bridge was constructed in 1887 by I. P. Bartley & Co. of Mount Olive Township in Morris County. In 1985, the bridge was rehabilitated and widened by converting to a stringer bridge design using steel beams, while maintaining the historic original trusses. It is now long and wide.
