Mai Hagiwara
is a former Japanese singer and actress. At age 6, she auditioned for Hello! Project Kids in 2002 and later became part of Cute, a Japanese idol girl group associated with Hello! Project. Career 2002–2005: Hello! Project Kids, 4Kids In 2002, Hagiwara auditioned for Hello! Project Kids with the song "Te wo Nigitte Arukitai" by Maki Goto. Her audition tape was aired on Morning Musume's variety show ''Hello! Morning''. She was placed in the group with 14 other girls. Mai Oshima
is a singer and a former member of the Japanese all-girl pop group AKB48. Biography In December 2005, Oshima became one of the 24 inaugural members of AKB48's Team A. Over the course of her career, she participated in most of AKB48's A-side singles. On April 26, 2007, it was announced that her contract would be transferred to Horipro. Upon joining the new talent agency, she was put on the roster of Xanadu loves NHC, a futsal team consisting of idols from Horipro; her jersey number was 18. Oshima made her first appearance on '' Kouhaku Uta Gassen'', an annual music show where the most successful artists compete, with AKB48 on December 31, 2007. Mai-Mai Sze
Yuen Tsung Sze (December 2, 1909 – July 16, 1992), known professionally as Mai-mai Sze, was a Chinese-American painter and writer. The Bollingen Foundation first published her translation of the ''Jieziyuan Huazhuan'' or ''The Mustard Seed Garden Manual of Painting'' with her commentary in 1956. Early life and education Sze was born Yuen Tsung Sze in Tianjin on December 2, 1909. Mai-mai is a nickname meaning "little sister," and this was the name under which she published all of her books. In 1915, she moved to London with her father Alfred Sao-ke Sze, then the Chinese ambassador to the Court of St. James's. The family lived there until 1921, when her father Alfred Sao-ke Sze was appointed the first Chinese Ambassador to the United States and settled in Washington D.C. Mai-Mai
The term Mai-Mai or Mayi-Mayi refers to any kind of community-based militia group active in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) that is formed to defend local communities and territory against other armed groups. Most were formed to resist the invasion of Rwandan forces and Rwanda-affiliated Congolese rebel groups, but some may have formed to exploit the war to their own advantage by looting, cattle rustling or banditry. Groups that fall under the umbrella term "Mai-Mai" include armed forces led by warlords, traditional tribal elders, village heads and politically motivated resistance fighters. Because Mai Mai have only the most tenuous internal cohesion, different Mai-Mai groups allied themselves with a variety of domestic and foreign government and guerrilla groups at different times. ''Maimai'' (stylized as all lowercase) is an arcade game, arcade rhythm game series developed and distributed by Sega, in which the player interacts with objects on a touchscreen and executes dance-like movements. The game supports both single-player and multiplayer gameplay with up to 4 players. Mai Mai Miracle
is a Japanese animated film based on Nobuko Takagi's novelization of her autobiography, ''Maimai Shinko''. It was produced by the animation studio Madhouse, distributed by Shochiku, and directed by Sunao Katabuchi. The film debuted at the Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland on August 15, 2009. The movie's plot is partially based on research on Sei Shōnagon's ''The Pillow Book''. Plot background It's the spring of 1955 in Mitajiri (in the countryside around then small-town Hōfu) in Yamaguchi Prefecture, southwestern Japan. Sandaun Province (formerly West Sepik Province) is the northwesternmost mainland province of Papua New Guinea. It covers an area of 35,920 km2 (13868 m2) and has a population of 248,411 (2011 census). The capital is Vanimo. In July 1998 the area surrounding the town Aitape was hit by an enormous tsunami caused by a Magnitude 7.0 earthquake which killed over 2,000 people.
