Mailam
Mayilam or Mailam is a village near Tindivanam and it is famous for the Mayilam Murugan Temple. Mayilam is located fifteen kilometres from Tindivanam and thirty from Pondicherry. The temple, situated on a small hill, is connected with a village on the Coromandel coast, Bomayapalaiyam, very near Pondicherry, where a Vera Saiva mutt is found. According to the name, bomma or bomme, derived from brāhmana. This was a village donated to Brahmans, as is confirmed by the sthala purāna.in which Bomayapalaiyam is also named Brahmapuram. The legend of this kshetra begins with the end of Surapadma’s atrocious rule and his tearful appeal to Lord to accept him as his mount. Siva Prakasar
Siva Prakasar (also Ṣiva Prakāṣa or sometimes Ṣiva-prakāṣa Dēṣikar), was a Tamil people, Tamil ( துறைமங்கலம் சிவப்பிரகாசர், கற்பனைக்களஞ்சியம் ) poet and philosopher lived during the late 17th and early 18th centuries. He was called 'Thurai mangalam Sivaprakasar' , 'Karpanai Kalangiyam' , 'Sivanuputhi chelvar'. He had contributed more than Thirty four Thamizh books for the Thamizh Literature, the most well known of which is the Nanneri, a work dealing with moral instruction. He is also well known for translating early Kannada works into the Tamil language. and for creating his own poetry. Tindivanam
Tindivanam is a town and a municipality in Viluppuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the second largest town in Villupuram District after the headquarters town Villupuram. Important roads from north to south (NH 45) Tamil Nadu pass through Tindivanam and similarly from west to east (NH 66).
