Adam Maida
Adam Joseph Maida (born March 18, 1930) is an American cardinal prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. Maida served as the archbishop of the Archdiocese of Detroit in Michigan from 1990 to 2009, and was elevated to cardinal in 1994. Maida previously served as bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay in Wisconsin from 1984 to 1990. Biography Early life and education Maida was born in East Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, to Adam and Sophie (née Cieslak) Maida. The oldest of three children, he has two brothers, Thaddeus (who also became a priest) and Daniel. His father immigrated from Poland at age 16, while his mother was the daughter of Polish immigrants. He and his brothers attended public schools in East Vandergrift since there were no local Catholic schools. Maida attended Vandergrift High School and Scott Township High School, each for one year. Knuckle Puck
Knuckle Puck is an American rock band, formed in 2010 in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. The group released several EPs, one of which, '' While I Stay Secluded'' (2014), peaked at number 5 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. The band released a split EP with the UK band Neck Deep. The group signed to Rise in 2014 and released its debut album, '' Copacetic'', through the label in 2015. The band's name comes from the "knucklepuck" shot in ice hockey, which was popularized by the 1994 film D2: The Mighty Ducks. Luisa Cristina del Rosario Maida Leiva (born October 7, 1979 in San Salvador) is a Salvadoran sport shooter. She won two medals, silver and bronze, for the 10 and 25 m pistol events at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Maida made her official debut for the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where she placed thirty-sixth in the 10 m air pistol, and forty-first in the 25 m pistol, with total scores of 368 and 557 points, respectively. Eight years later, Maida qualified for her second Olympic team as a 29-year-old. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing she competed in two pistol shooting events, placing thirty-fourth out of forty-four shooters in the women's 10 m air pistol by two points ahead of Czech Republic's Michaela Musilová, with a total score of 375 targets. is a Canadian musician best known as being the lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the alternative rock band Our Lady Peace. He has come to be known for his unique countertenor nasal falsetto singing voice, as well as his cryptic and poetry-influenced song lyrics. He occasionally plays certain instruments, such as the acoustic guitar, while performing with Our Lady Peace. Following guitarist Mike Turner's departure from Our Lady Peace in 2001, Maida is the only remaining original member of the band. Maida began a solo career in 2006, releasing his first solo album ''The Hunters Lullaby'' in 2007. He also self-produced Our Lady Peace's seventh studio album, ''Burn Burn (album), Burn Burn'', in 2009.

Sir John Stuart, Count of Maida GCB (1759–1815), was a British Lieutenant-General during the Napoleonic Wars. Biography Stuart was born in Georgia, the son of Colonel John Stuart, superintendent of Indian affairs in the southern district, and a prominent loyalist in the War of Independence. Educated at Westminster School, young Stuart entered the 3rd Foot Guards in 1778, and almost immediately returned to America with his regiment. He was present at the siege of Charleston, the battles of Camden and Guilford court-house, and the surrender of Yorktown, returning a regimental lieutenant and an army captain, as was then usual in the Guards.
