Mahindra Research Valley
Mahindra World City, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, is India's first integrated business city. It is a public–private partnership promoted by the Mahindra Group and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation, TIDCO. It is situated near Maraimalai Nagar a southern suburb of Chennai. The city is a part of the Chennai Metropolitan Area. Etymology Mahindra World City is located outside Chennai city and was inaugurated on 21 September 2002 by the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalitha. Built on the model of sustainable urbanisation Mahindra World City grew from a bed of business, infrastructure and sustainable practices before evolving into a completely integrated city within a decade of its inauguration. Chennai Port
Chennai Port, formerly known as Madras Port, is the second largest container port of India, behind Mumbai's Nhava Sheva. The port is the largest one in the Bay of Bengal. It is the third-oldest port among the 13 major ports of India with official port operations beginning in 1881, although maritime trade started much earlier in 1639 on the undeveloped shore. Chennai International Airport
Chennai International Airport is an international airport serving the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu and its metropolitan area. It is located in Tirusulam, southwest of the city centre. Chennai International Airport is the sixth busiest airport in India and third busiest airport for international traffic in India. It was also 49th busiest airport in Asia in 2018 making it one of the four major airports in India under the top 50 list of 2018. In financial year 2021, the airport handled 9.53 million passengers. Paranur Railway Station
Paranur railway station is one of the railway stations of the Chennai Beach–Chengalpattu section of the Chennai Suburban Railway Network. It is situated at a distance of 55 km south of Chennai Beach terminus and has an elevation of 42 m above sea level. It serves the neighbourhood of Paranur and the Mahindra World City at New Chennai. The station is noted for its maintenance by a public–private partnership between Mahindra World City Developers (MWCD) and the Indian Railways, reportedly the first of its kind in the country.
