Abdel Khaliq Mahjub
Abdel Khaliq Mahjub ( ar, عبد الخالق محجوب) (23 September 1927 – 28 July 1971) was a Sudanese communist politician. Mahjub was born in Omdurman. He served as the General Secretary of the Sudanese Communist Party until his death by execution in Khartum during the Gaafar Nimeiry regime. Following his execution Muhammad Ibrahim Nugud became the leader of the party. Views Mahjub was introduced to communist ideas while studying at Fuad I University in Egypt, from which he was expelled in 1948 for political activities. He became Secretary General of the Sudanese Communist Party in February 1949. He was influential in international communist forums. A number of his writings focused on the idea of finding a more Nationalist formula for Marxism in Sudan, rather than the literal application of the experience of the Soviets or the Chinese. Ahmed Hassan Mohamed Abdelmonem Mohamed Mahgoub ( ar, أحمد حسن محمد عبد المنعم محمد محجوب; born 5 March 1993), known as Kouka or Koka, is an Egyptian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Turkish club Alanyaspor, on loan from Olympiacos, and the Egypt national team. He began his career in his native Egypt in the youth academy at Al Ahly but joined Portuguese side Rio Ave in 2012 without appearing for the first team. He made his professional debut for Rio Ave in September 2012. In 2015, he joined rival Portuguese club Braga, helping the club win the Taça de Portugal during his first season at the club. He represented Egypt at under-20 and under-23 level before making his debut for the senior squad in August 2013, scoring in a victory over Uganda. Colonel Mohamed Abdul Salam Mahgoub ( ar, محمد عبد السلام المحجوب, ''Muḥammad `Abdul-Salām al-Maḥgūb'') (1935 – 31 January 2022) was an Egyptian politician. Through 2006 to his death, he was the Minister of Local Development in the Cabinet of Egypt. He was previously Governor of Alexandria Governorate, his term expiring upon his appointment to the Cabinet. Mahgoub was born in Dakahlia Governorate in 1935.
