Mahdalynivka Raion
Mahdalynivka Raion ( uk, Магдалинівський район) was a raion (district) of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, southeastern-central Ukraine. Its administrative centre was located at the urban-type settlement of Mahdalynivka. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast to seven. The area of Mahdalynivka Raion was merged into Novomoskovsk Raion. The last estimate of the raion population was . Raions of Ukraine (often translated as "districts"; Ukrainian: ра́йон, tr. ''raion''; plural: райо́ни, tr. ''raiony'') are the second level of administrative division in Ukraine, below the oblast. Raions were created in a 1922 administrative reform of the Soviet Union, to which Ukraine, as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, belonged. Mahdalynivka ( uk, Магдалинiвка; russian: Магдалиновка) is an urban-type settlement in Novomoskovsk Raion, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Mahdalynivka settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. A hromada ( uk, територіальна громада, lit=territorial community, translit=terytorialna hromada) is a basic unit of administrative division in Ukraine, similar to a municipality.
