Mahagathbandhan (Jharkhand)
Mahagathbandhan, also known as Grand Alliance, is a coalition of political parties in the state of Jharkhand in India, formed before the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. The alliance consists of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Indian National Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Nationalist Congress Party and Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation. History 2018 To fight the incumbent BJP government in the state and in national level the four major state party JMM, Congress, JVM(P), RJD joined hands to form a united opposition in the state under the leadership of JMM in state election and INC in national election. Hemant Soren
Hemant Soren (born 10 August 1975) is an Indian politician from Jharkhand, who is currently the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. Previously, he had also served as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand from July 2013 to December 2014. He is also the president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, a political party in Jharkhand. He represents Barhait constituency in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. Early life Soren was born in Nemara in Ramgarh district, Bihar (now in Jharkhand) to Roopi and Shibu Soren, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand. Hemant has two brothers and a sister. He is the second child of all the siblings, first was Durga Soren, then himself followed by Basant Soren and Anjali Soren. His educational qualification is Intermediate from Patna High School, Patna, Bihar. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha ( lit. ''Jharkhand Liberation Front''; JMM) is a State political party in the Indian state of Jharkhand which was founded by Binod Bihari Mahato. It has one seat in the 17th Lok Sabha. Shibu Soren is the president of the JMM. JMM is also an influential political party in the state of Odisha and parts of neighbouring of states. Its election symbol for Jharkhand is ''Bow and Arrow''. The party was officially created on the birthday of Birsa Munda, the 19th century tribal warrior of Jharkhand, who fought against the British rule in present-day Jharkhand. Raghubar Das
Raghubar Das (born 3 May 1955) is an Indian politician who served as the sixth Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He was sworn in as the 6th chief minister of Jharkhand on 28 December 2014. He belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party and has twice served as the president of Jharkhand BJP. Currently he is the National Vice President of BJP. An employee of Tata Steel, he served as the member of legislative assembly five times, he was representing Jamshedpur East since 1995 to 2019. He also served as the Deputy Chief Minister and the Urban Development Minister during the BJP-led government in the state. During internal emergency, he was sent behind the bars. The Chief Minister of Jharkhand is the chief executive of the Indian state of Jharkhand. In accordance with the Constitution of India, the governor is a state's ''de jure'' head, but ''de facto'' executive authority rests with the chief minister. The Lok Sabha, constitutionally the House of the People, is the lower house of India's bicameral Parliament, with the upper house being the Rajya Sabha. Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) (JVM (P)) ( 'Jharkhand Development Front (Democratic)') was a state political party in the Indian state of Jharkhand which was founded by former Union Minister and First Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Babulal Marandi. Formation The party's formation was announced by Marandi at Hazaribagh on 24 September 2006. Marandi was earlier a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, but he quit in mid-2006 because he felt he was being sidelined in the party.
