Magnus Svensson (footballer)
Jan Tore Magnus "Turbo" Svensson (born 10 March 1969) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He won 32 caps for the Sweden national team, and represented his country at UEFA Euro 2000 and the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Club career Svensson was born in Vinberg, Sweden. His career started in Vinbergs IF, but he soon joined Halmstads BK in the Swedish Allsvenskan championship. From 1998 to 2002 he moved abroad to play for Viking F.K. in Norway, where he was a big fan favourite. He became the most expensive player in the Danish Superliga when he was bought by Danish club Brøndby IF for NOK 12,5 million in spring 2000. He rejoined Halmstad in 2002. 2006 was Svensson's final year in Halmstad, and he moved back to Vinberg in 2007. Viking Stadion
Viking Stadion (currently named SR-Bank Arena for sponsorship purposes), is a football stadium in Stavanger, Norway. It was inaugurated in May 2004 and cost 160 million NOK (€20 million) to build. 50 million NOK, plus the lot it was built on, was a gift from the municipality. It replaced Stavanger Stadion as the home stadium of Viking FK. In 2006, the stadium was expanded beyond the original capacity of 15,300 to 16,600. The capacity was later reduced to 16,300 in 2012 to make room for two giant screens. From 2018 the capacity is again reduced to 15,900. Originally an all-seater stadium, parts of the west stand have been converted to safe standing in recent years. The record attendance is 16,600 from 24 June 2007, when Viking met Brann. Listed below are the dates and results for the 2002 FIFA World Cup qualification rounds for UEFA teams. The European section of the 2002 FIFA World Cup qualification acted as qualifiers for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, which is being held in South Korea and Japan, for national teams which are members of the UEFA. Apart from France, who qualified automatically as defending champions, a total of 13.5 slots in the final tournament were available for UEFA teams. Henrik Larsson
Edward Henrik Larsson (born 20 September 1971) is a Swedish professional football coach and former player, formerly an assistant manager of Barcelona. Playing as a striker, Larsson began his career with Högaborgs BK. In 1992, he moved to Helsingborg IF where in his first season his partnership up front with Mats Magnusson helped the club win promotion to Allsvenskan after 24 seasons in the lower tiers. He moved to Feyenoord in November 1993, staying for four years before leaving in 1997. During his time in the Dutch Eredivisie, he won two KNVB Cups with Feyenoord. UEFA Euro 2000 Qualifying
Qualifying for the UEFA Euro 2000 final tournament, took place throughout 1998 and 1999. Forty-nine teams were divided into nine groups. All teams played against each other, within their groups, on a home-and-away basis. The winner of each group and the best runner-up qualified automatically for the final tournament. Olof Mattias Jonsson (; born 16 January 1974) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a winger. Starting off his career with Örebro SK in the early 1990s, he went on to represent Helsingborgs IF, Brøndby IF, and Norwich City before retiring at Djurgårdens IF in 2011. A full international between 1996 and 2006, he won 57 caps and scored nine goals for the Sweden national team. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time.
