Hedningarna (''The Heathens'') is a Swedish, and for some years partly Finnish, folk music band that mixes electronics and rock with elements from old Scandinavian folk music. Their music features yoik or juoiggus, a traditional Sami form of song. History Hållbus Totte Mattson, Anders Stake and Björn Tollin formed Hedningarna in 1987. ''Hedning'' is Swedish for , while ''ar'' is the plural suffix, and ''na'' is the definite article (thus ''hedningar'' 'heathens', ''hedningarna'' 'the heathens'). Sanna Kurki-Suonio (born 1966) is a Finnish singer, kantele player and composer in the contemporary folk / neo-folk music genre. She is most well known for her work with the band Hedningarna, which extended over eight years between 1991 and 1999. She was also a founding member of the group Loituma. After her first solo album, ''Musta'', was released in 1998, she toured the United States and Europe with Swedish viola player Magnus Stinnerbom. Since then, she has composed the Kalevala 150th Anniversary concert (working with Finnish rock musician A. W. Daniel Sandén-Warg
Daniel Sandén-Warg (born 1977 in Östersund) is a Swedish Hardanger fiddler and silversmith from Karlstad. He also plays Jew's harp, key harp, guitar and regular fiddle. He moved to Setesdal to be closer to the folk music scene there. In Setesdal, Hallvard T. Bjørgum was one of his teachers in both music and silversmithing. He is a member of the folk music group Harv, which he founded with Magnus Stinnerbom; and a member of the music collective Knut Heddis Minne. He has worked together with the Hardanger fiddler Per Anders Buen Garnås and in 2008, they released the album ''Warg Buen'' on ta:lik. Together with the Jew's harp player Sigurd Brokke, he released the albums ''Rammeslag'' (2007) and ''Rammeslag II'' (2009) on Etnisk musikklubb. Both won the Folkelarmprisen in the solo class. Bernard Harvey (born August 17, 1985), known professionally as Harv, is an American record producer, musician and songwriter from Kansas City, Kansas and based in Los Angeles, who has produced acclaimed work for major recording artists such as Justin Bieber, Skrillex, Cherish (group), Cherish, Summer Walker, Normani, Post Malone, Gucci Mane, Eminem and Omah Lay.
