Magnolia West High School (MWHS) is one of two public high schools in the Magnolia Independent School District in Magnolia, Texas, United States. Description Located in Magnolia, Texas, an exurb of Houston, the school opened in August 2006 in order to relieve crowding at Magnolia High School. MWHS served grades 9 and 10 in the 2007–2008 school year and grades 9 through 12 in the 2009–2010 school year. Magnolia Independent School District is a public school district based in Magnolia, Texas, United States. In addition to Magnolia, the district also serves the town of Stagecoach and the community of Pinehurst. For the 2018–19 school year, the district received a score of 87 out of 100 from the Texas Education Agency. History The four earliest schools in the Magnolia area began between 1886–1889 and were known as the "Methodist school," the "Grange School," the "Baptist school," and the "Steger School."
