Magnano is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Biella in the Italian region Piedmont, located about northeast of Turin and about south of Biella. Magnano borders the following municipalities: Bollengo, Cerrione, Palazzo Canavese, Piverone, Torrazzo, Zimone, Zubiena. Culture Musica Antica a Magnano is a non-profit association founded in 1986 to promote festivaloffering an opportunity to hear historically informed performances of early music on original instruments. The Festival concerts are held in August and early September in either a 12th-century church San Secondo or in the town's 18th-century church. The latter also houses an organ built in 1794 by Giovanni Bruna and restored by Italo Marzi. Romanesque Architecture

Enzo Bianchi
Enzo Bianchi (born 3 March 1943) is an Italian Catholic layman who founded the Bose Monastic Community and served as its first prior from 1965 to 2017. Biography Enzo Bianchi was born on 3 March 1943 in Castel Boglione, Italy. He earned a diploma in accountancy and then studied economics at the University of Turin. In late 1965, he moved to an isolated farmhouse in the hamlet of Bose in Magnano in the Province of Biella. In October 1968, two Catholics, a Protestant minister, and another female Protestant, forming the Bose Monastic Community. He was also friends with Cardinal Michele Pellegrino. With Bianchi as founder and first prior, and based on the rules he wrote, it welcomed men and women, both Catholics and Protestants, who agreed to live in community, maintain celibacy, and devote themselves to prayer and work. Bose Monastic Community
The Bose Monastic Community () is an ecumenical community founded by Enzo Bianchi in 1965 at Bose, a frazione in the commune of Magnano, Italy. In 2020 the Holy See ordered four members, including Bianchi, to separate from the community. History On 8 December 1965, Bianchi decided to start living in a rented house in Bose, where he lived alone for three years. He visited several communities during this time, including Tamié Abbey, Mount Athos, and the Ecumenical Taizé Community. He was also friends with Cardinal Michele Pellegrino. On 17 November 1967, the local bishop prohibited public liturgical celebrations in Bose, which the Bose community attributed to be due to the frequent presence of non-Catholics. Pellegrino intervened to remove the interdict on 29 June 1968. In October 1968, two Catholics, a Protestant minister, and another female Protestant, joined Bianchi in Bose. San Secondo (Magnano)
The church of San Secondo di Magnano is built in a wide open space near the Serra d'Ivrea, not far from the Bose monastic community, in the comune (''municipality'') of Magnano, Italy. It is one of the most interesting examples of the Romanesque architecture in the Provincia di Biella and the Canavese. History and architecture There used to be an older, small church on the site of today's San Secondo. This church was probably built by the Benedictines. In the first half of the 11th century the structure was raised and enlarged up to its current size. The architecture is typically Romanesque, with a projecting façade. The interior consists of a nave flanked by two aisles. The central nave and the left aisle end both with an apse with a small window. The right aisle's apse has probably been demolished to make room for the bell tower, an elegant structure with mullioned windows in its upper section.
