Magic Park
Wanderers Oval, nicknamed Magic Park, is a multi-use sportsground in Newcastle, New South Wales, Newcastle, Australia. It is mainly used for Association football, soccer and is the home ground for the Broadmeadow Magic FC, Broadmeadow Magic. The venue is also occasionally used by Newcastle Jets FC, Newcastle Jets, and the club's Newcastle Jets FC W-League, women's and Newcastle Jets FC Youth, youth teams. It was one of 11 training sites for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup. In 2014, it hosted the first televised match of the FFA Cup. Broadmeadow Magic Football Club is a soccer club based in Broadmeadow, New South Wales, Broadmeadow a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales, Newcastle, Australia. The club currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW. History The club was founded on 9 April 1966 by Macedonian Australians as Newcastle Macedonia FC. Originally formed as a social club to play football together with other Macedonians, it is now a major force in Northern New South Wales' NBN State Football League. The club saw its first action on 20 March 1967 when they travelled to Evans Park (New South Wales), Evans Park to face Cardiff Workers RSL. Newcastle Jets Youth is the youth system of Newcastle Jets Football Club based Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. The academy teams play in the A-League Youth, NSW League Two (in youth team & U20) and Football NSW Youth League Two (U18, U16, U15, U14 & U13 age brackets). Broadmeadow Railway Station
Broadmeadow railway station is a major regional interchange located on the Main North Line. The station itself serves the Newcastle suburb of Broadmeadow. The station was first opened on 15 August 1887. The island platform was accessed by a level crossing at the station's northern end until replaced by an underpass on 2 March 1973 opened by Minister for Transport Milton Morris. The station was upgraded to wheelchair accessibility in July 2017.
