Magic Circle Music
Magic Circle Music was founded by Manowar bassist Joey DeMaio in 2005 named after Richard Wagner's ''Der Ring des Nibelungen''. The purpose of the label is to give the band (Manowar) creative control. Furthermore, it is stated on their website that they (Manowar) saw many other bands "fall to the perils of greed and commercialization in the music industry". To put an end to this practice, DeMaio founded Magic Circle Music through which he felt he could help other developing artists avoid these traps. Apart from releasing band merchandise, the label is also responsible for organizing the Magic Circle Festival, which first took place in 2007 in Bad Arolsen, Germany. Rhapsody Of Fire
Rhapsody of Fire (formerly known as Rhapsody) is an Italian symphonic power metal band formed by Luca Turilli and Alex Staropoli, widely seen as a pioneer of the symphonic power metal subgenre. Since forming in 1993 as Thundercross, the band has released twelve studio albums, two live albums, three EPs, and a Live DVD. Rhapsody of Fire is known for its conceptual lyrics that constitute a fantasy story throughout all of their albums from 1997 to 2011. After using the moniker of Rhapsody for nearly ten years, the band changed its name to Rhapsody of Fire in 2006 due to trademark issues. In 2011, following the release of their album ''From Chaos to Eternity'' which concluded The Dark Secret Saga, and after 18 years as co-leader of the band, Turilli left Rhapsody of Fire (on good terms) to form a new Rhapsody band, Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, along with two other members who left with him, Dominique Leurquin, Patrice Guers. They describe their discography as a parallel continuation o ...

Luca Turilli's Dreamquest
Dreamquest, also known as Luca Turilli's Dreamquest, was a symphonic electro metal band led by Italian musician Luca Turilli, known for his work in the band Rhapsody of Fire (formerly known as Rhapsody). He created the band wanting to propose a style of modern metal combined with the genres he loved the most: pop, electronic and symphonic music. He wrote the lyrics, composed and arranged all the music. For the first time he only presented himself as keyboard player of the band while the guitar parts were handled by Rhapsody of Fire session member Dominique Leurquin. The music of the band combines powerful metal instrumentation with angelic, operatic, female vocals, modern synths and orchestral elements to create a sound that might best be described as 'symphonic electro pop/metal'. The lyrics are about spirituality and deep inner research, linked in someway to the mystic world of dreams. The identity of the vocalist, credited only as "Myst", was in question. Fans had speculated ...

Luca Turilli (band)
Luca Turilli (also referred to as the Luca Turilli Band) was the self-named German symphonic power metal musical project of Italian musician Luca Turilli, originally assembled in 1999. History The band was founded by Luca Turilli, guitarist of Rhapsody (now called Rhapsody of Fire), with the intention of combining the typical sound of orchestral and symphonic metal with modern arrangements and the frequent use of synthesizers. Turilli had the goal of making a trilogy by creating a first album based on the past, one on the future, and a third on the present time. From a lyrical point of view, the three albums were connected by the typical positive and deeply spiritual message of Turilli praising the miracle of life and creation. Rhapsody's then-producers, Sascha Paeth and Michael Rodenberg, Miro, were hired to do the same job and also to provide bass and additional keyboard duties, respectively (Luca composed the keyboard parts for the album but preferred to have a proper keyboard ...

Guardians Of The Flame (band)
''Guardians of the Flame'' is a portal fantasy series by author Joel Rosenberg, and arguably his best-known work. The series is about a group of college students who participate in a fantasy role-playing game, and are magically transported to the world of the game by their gamemaster. The first book, ''The Sleeping Dragon'', focuses on the former students struggling to survive in the world of the game. The series progresses with the students choosing to live in the 'game world' and forming their own community, which is in part based on opposition to the ubiquitous slave trade. The series then expands upon the students' "Home" in the fantasy realm and their effecting societal change. In the later books, the focus shifts from efforts to destroy the slave trade and on to various characters dealing with the changes in the fantasy world wrought by the former students (now mostly 40-somethings). The final three books shift focus to a new set of protagonists, relegating the 'Other Si ...

Heavy Metal Music
Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. With roots in blues rock, psychedelic rock and acid rock, heavy metal bands developed a thick, monumental sound characterized by distortion (music), distorted guitars, extended guitar solos, emphatic Beat (music), beats and loudness. In 1968, three of the genre's most famous pioneers – Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple – were founded. Though they came to attract wide audiences, they were often derided by critics. Several American bands modified heavy metal into more accessible forms during the 1970s: the raw, sleazy sound and shock rock of Alice Cooper and Kiss (band), Kiss; the blues-rooted rock of Aerosmith; and the flashy guitar leads and party rock of Van Halen. During the mid-1970s, Judas Priest helped spur the genre's evolution by discarding much of its blues influence,Walser (1993), p. 6 while Motörhea ...
