4BH 1116 is the on-air identifier ( ACMA callsign: 4BH) of a radio station in Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, Australia. It broadcasts on a frequency is 1116 kHz in the AM radio band and is simulcasted in DAB+ on channel 9B. It is owned by Nine Entertainment Co and run under a lease agreement by Ace Radio. Ian Keenan (born 14 October) is an Australian radio announcer and creator of the website Hitstories.net. Radio His is a long career which began in 1979. Keenan has been a broadcaster for radio stations in Murray Bridge, South Australia (5MU); Mount Isa, Queensland (4LM); Muswellbrook, New South Wales (2NM); Newcastle, New South Wales (2KO); Townsville, Queensland (4TO); Brisbane, Queensland (4KQ and Magic 882). Cannon Hill is a suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , Cannon Hill had a population of 5,533 people. Geography The suburb is located by road east of the Brisbane GPO. History Cannon Hill was originally inhabited by Aboriginal people but, after being accused of "intimidating" the settlers, they were "dispersed" by the Native Police and Brisbane Mounted Police in November 1861, around the time when British settlement began in the area. Some land was used by settlers for farming and grazing, but the area remained mostly bushland. The suburb is most likely named after Cannon Hill House, a residence formerly located on Wynnum Road.
