Magdallan
Magdallan (later known as Magdalen), was an American Christian metal supergroup, originally started in 1990, as a studio project and collaboration between Ken Tamplin and Lanny Cordola. The band was active from 1990 to 1995, released 2 albums and an EP, and was signed to Intense Records and Essential Records respectively. History The band's original lineup was Ken Tamplin, Lanny Cordola, Brian Bromberg, and Ken Mary. After the first album Ken Tamplin departed and Phillip Bardowell took over vocal duties. Chuck Wright would later replace Bromberg for the Magdalen releases. Magdallan's lineup led to the group being referred to as a supergroup. Ken Tamplin was well known for his work in Shout. Lanny Cordola, Chuck Wright, Ken Mary were previously well known for being members of the group House of Lords. Ken Tamplin
Ken Tamplin (born December 11, 1963) is an American vocal coach, YouTuber, and former Christian rock performer. Founder of Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy, Tamplin is known for his vocal range and vocal training methods. He has contributed to his solo albums as a singer-songwriter, musician, arranger, record producer, and audio engineer ( mixing and mastering). Tamplin has also composed music for television, movies, and commercials. Early years Tamplin began playing guitar at age six and singing at age nine. Despite being raised in a Christian home, he was not openly Christian until some time before he began his musical career. "I've been on fire for Him ever since", Tamplin was quoted as saying. Lanny Cordola
Lanny Cordola (born 1961) is an American guitarist, songwriter and producer. He has been a member of bands such as Giuffria, House of Lords and Magdallan (also known as Magdalen after Ken Tamplin's departure). Before joining Giuffria, Cordola was the main songwriter for his original bands named Lights, American Heroes and Mondo Cane with songs such as: "All For One", "Lonely Money", "Blow It All Away", "Nasty Girl", "Gypsy in a Twisted World", "Dream Carnival", "High on a Dream", "Empty Cabaret", "Can't Wait Any Longer", "Uncontrolled Fire", "Prime Time", "(She's So) Photogenic", "Walking on the Edge", "Violent City" and "Riddles in the Night". Both American Heroes and Mondo Cane gained their greatest success in Hollywood in the early 1980s. Chuck Wright
Chuck Wright (born September 13, 1959) is an American bassist, best known as a member of the hard rock/heavy metal band Quiet Riot. He originally joined Quiet Riot in 1982, playing bass on the tracks " Metal Health (Bang Your Head)" and "Don't Wanna Let You Go," as well as singing background vocals on all tracks from the 1983 album ''Metal Health''. Throughout the 80s and 90s, Wright left and rejoined Quiet Riot multiple times, most recently rejoining in August 2005 for their "Rock Never Stops" tour and staying until the death of lead singer Kevin DuBrow in October 2007. After a three-year hiatus, the band reformed with a new lead vocalist and began touring again in 2010. KMG (Killen Music Group) Records was a Christian record label. The label was established in 1997 by Buddy Killen as a subunit of the Killen Music Group / Buddy Killen Enterprises and sold in late 1998 to Cal Turner III, who is related to the Cal Turner of Dollar General stores. Following the sale, Buddy Killen continued to consult for the firm. A Dove Award is an accolade by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the Christian music industry. The awards are presented annually. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements.
