Magdalena Wójcik (born 2 September 1975 in Krasnystaw, Poland) is a Polish singer and lead member of the Polish band Goya Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes (; ; 30 March 174616 April 1828) was a Spanish romantic painter and printmaker. He is considered the most important Spanish artist of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. His paintings, drawings, and .... Wójcik participated in numerous amateur activities in music, singing and playing guitar from a high school age. In 1993, she released her own album which was published on cassette by the publisher Dalmafon. In the mid-1990s she signed a multi-year contract with the record company EMI Pomaton. In 1995, along with guitarist Grzegorz Jędrachem and keyboardist Rafał Gorączowski, she co-founded the Polish band Goya. In 1998 the band released their first album, titled ''Goya''. Krasnystaw
Krasnystaw ( uk, Красностав, Krasnostav) is a town in southeastern Poland with 18 630 inhabitants (31 december 2019). Situated in the Lublin Voivodeship (since 1999), previously in Chełm Voivodeship (1975–1998). It is the capital of Krasnystaw County. The town is famous for its beer festival called ''Chmielaki'' ( pl, chmiel means hop), and for its dairy products like yogurt and kefir. Krasnystaw is near the border with Ukraine. The river Wieprz flows through Krasnystaw. History Krasnystaw received its town charter from King Władysław II Jagiełło, who signed the document in Kraków, on 1 March 1394. The new town was located in the location of previously existing village of Szczekarzew, and in 1490 – 1826, was property of the Bishops of Chełm, and the seat of a starosta. ''Goya'' – Polish pop music group. Founded 1995 in Warsaw, Poland. History The group was created in 1995 in the Polish capital of Warsaw. Magdalena Wójcik is the lead singer and face of the group. Magdalena Wojcik participated in numerous amateur activities in music, singing and playing guitar from a high school age. In 1993 she released her own album which was published on cassette by the publisher Dalmafon. Magdalena Wójcik caught the attention of the director of music publisher EMI, and he offered her a contract. Living in Warsaw at the time, she co-operated with the musicians Grzegorz Jędrach (guitarist), and Rafał Gorączowski (Keyboardist). Goya made their debut in 1995 with the album ''Goya'', from which was released three singles: ''Bo ya'', ''Śpij i śnij'' and ''Kupię sobie dom''. EMI Music Poland Sp. z o.o., was a Polish subsidiary of EMI Group Limited, it was founded in 1995 in Warsaw. Labels CEO was Piotr Kabaj. The label was founded in 1995 when EMI bought independent record label Kompania Muzyczna Pomaton (founded 1990). The purchase included rights for recordings by such artists as Tadeusz Woźniak, Jacek Wójcicki, Przemysław Gintrowski, Wolna Grupa Bukowina and Magda Umer among others. In 2012 EMI was sold to Universal Music Group.
