Macedonia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Sofia, Bulgaria. On 24 July 2015, it was confirmed that they would return to the contest after a one-year absence. The national broadcaster Macedonian Radio Television (MRT) held auditions at their studios in September 2015. Ivana Petkovska & Magdalena Aleksovska represented Macedonia with the song "Pletenka - Braid of Love". Unfortunately, the country ended in 17th place (last) with 26 points. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 was the thirteenth edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and took place, for the first time, in Bulgaria. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest (often shortened to JESC, Junior Eurovision or Junior EuroSong) is an international song competition which has been organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) annually since 2003. It is held in a different European city each year, however the same city can host the contest more than once. The competition has many similarities to the Eurovision Song Contest from which its name is taken. Each participating broadcaster sends an act, the members of which are aged 9 to 14 on the day of the contest, and an original song lasting three minutes at most to compete against the other participating entries.
