Madjid Djemai
Madjid Djemai (born 1 September 1983) is an Algerian middle distance runner. Career Djemai began training in track and field in 1999 and eventually qualified for the Algerian Paralympic Team. At the 2011 Pan Arab Games, Djemai earned a gold medal and later competed at the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Djemai competed in the 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships Men's 800 metres where he placed eighth. He later competed in the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships where he finished fifth in the 800m race. In 2016, Djemai won a bronze medal in men's 1500 metres T37 at the 2016 Summer Paralympics with a time of 4:17.28. The next year, he was selected to compete for Algeria at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships, where he won a bronze medal in the men's 1500m. 2011 Pan Arab Games
The 2011 Pan Arab Games also known as the 12th Pan Arab Games took place in Doha, Qatar from 6 to 23 December 2011. This was the first time that the country had hosted the multi-sport event. Khalifa International Stadium was the main venue for the competition. Preparation Host selection Qatar was awarded rights to organise the games beating Lebanon in the bidding process. Arab Federation for Sports secretary-general Othman Al-Saad said that Qatar's hosting of the Pan-Arab Games would give the event "more momentum and significance in light of the huge capabilities and world-class sports facilities which Qatar owns." The 2019 World Para Athletics Championships was a Paralympic track and field event organised by the World Para Athletics subcommittee of the International Paralympic Committee. It was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 7 to 15 November 2019. It was the 9th edition of the event, formerly known as the IPC Athletics World Championship prior to 2017.
