Madison County High School (Alabama)
Madison County High School is a secondary school in Gurley, Alabama, United States. History Grades K-12 were once located on the original campus in Gurley. In 1999 grades 9-12 were moved to a separate campus on Brock Road near US Highway 72. Madison County Elementary (K-8) still operates in the original location and buildings built in the 1930s. It was also eventually retired and another elementary and middle school were built. Athletics The Madison County Tigers compete in Alabama High School Athletic Association class 4A. Madison Academic Magnet High School is a public high school in the Jackson Madison County School System located on Lambuth Boulevard and formerly located on Allen Avenue, in Jackson, Tennessee. The former building was erected in 1928 as Jackson High School and underwent extensive renovations during the summer of 2003. Leodis V. McDaniel High School, formerly James Madison High School, is one of nine comprehensive public high schools in the Portland Public Schools in the city of Portland, Oregon, United States. The school serves neighborhood students and many transfer students in grades 9–12. History The high school was founded in 1957, and was originally named after Founding Father James Madison, the fourth US President and co-author of the Constitution. Construction on the campus began in 1955. Leodis V. McDaniel became the principal of the school in 1983, and remained until his death in 1987. Madison High School is a three-year public secondary school in Rexburg, Idaho, the county seat of Madison County. It is the only traditional high school in the Madison School District #321, which includes Rexburg and the majority of the county.
