Madina Bakbergenova
Madina Bakbergenova (born 6 January 1996) is a Kazakhstani freestyle wrestler. She is a three-time medalist, including gold, at the Asian Wrestling Championships. Career In the 60kg event at the 2015 World Wrestling Championships held in Las Vegas, United States, she was eliminated in her first match by Leigh Jaynes of the United States. Jaynes went on to win one of the bronze medals. In 2016, Bakbergenova won one of the bronze medals in the 60kg event at the Asian Wrestling Championships in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2019, Bakbergenova won the silver medal in the 59kg event at the Asian U23 Wrestling Championship held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. She also won one of the bronze medals in the 65kg event at the World U23 Wrestling Championship held in Budapest, Hungary. In the same year, Bakbergenova also competed in the 59kg event at the World Wrestling Championships held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan where she was eliminated in her first match by Pei Xingru of China. Amateur wrestling is a variant of wrestling practiced in collegiate, school, or other amateur level competitions. There are two international wrestling styles performed in the Olympic Games: freestyle and Greco-Roman. 2022 World Wrestling Championships
The 2022 World Wrestling Championships was the 17th edition of the World Wrestling Championships of combined events and was held between 10 and 18 September 2022 in Belgrade, Serbia. The UWW Bureau approved the candidature of Belgrade, Serbia as the host of the 2023 Senior World Championships. However, due to the restrictions on Russia for hosting World Championships in 2021–2022, Belgrade replaced the former city of Krasnoyarsk as the World Championships host for 2022. For 2023 the World Championships host will be reallocated to Russia. In addition, Russian and Belarusian athletes have been banned from 2022 World Championships. 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games
The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games ( tr, 2021 İslami Dayanışma Oyunları) were the 5th edition of the event held from 9 to 18 August 2022 at Konya, Turkey under the aegis of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF). It was the first time in history that the event was organised by the Turkish Olympic Committee. Formerly scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021, the event was postponed to be held from 10 to 19 September 2021 in July 2020 by the ISSF because the original dates were coinciding with the 2020 Summer Olympics, which were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
