The Made in Denmark is a professional golf tournament on the European Tour that is played annually in Denmark. History The inaugural tournament was played from 14 to 17 August 2014 at the HimmerLand Golf & Spa Resort, in Farsø Farsø is a town with a population of 3,349 (1 January 2022) in Region Nordjylland in Denmark in the Vesthimmerland Municipality. Farsø was the birthplace of Johannes Vilhelm Jensen, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1944. The village of ..., Denmark. HimmerLand hosted the event from 2014 to 2017. In 2015, the tournament featured the shortest par-3 hole in European Tour history, when the 16th hole played just in the final round. In 2018, Made in Denmark was played at Silkeborg Ry Golfklub, before returning to HimmerLand Golf & Spa Resort in 2019. During the Made in Denmark Challenge in June 2018, the organisation behind the tournament announced that Made in Denmark would continue for another five years, until 2023. Farsø
Farsø is a town with a population of 3,349 (1 January 2022) in Region Nordjylland in Denmark in the Vesthimmerland Municipality. Farsø was the birthplace of Johannes Vilhelm Jensen, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1944. The village of Vognsild is located to the west of Farsø. Farsø is also called one of the head cities of Vesthimmerland Municipality along with Aars, Løgstør and Aalestrup. Steven Brown (golfer)
Steven Brown (born 7 May 1987) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He won the 2019 Portugal Masters. Amateur career Brown won the 2011 English Amateur. The same year he was runner-up in the European Amateur, losing to Manuel Trappel in a playoff, and runner-up to Andy Sullivan in the Scottish Amateur Stroke Play Championship. Terry Peter Pilkadaris (born 30 October 1973) is an Australian professional golfer. Pilkadaris was born in Perth, Western Australia. Søren Kjeldsen (; born 17 May 1975) is a Danish golfer who plays on the European Tour. Professional career Kjeldsen turned professional in 1995. Kjeldsen's success on the second tier Challenge Tour in 1997, which included his first victory as a professional in the Volvo Finnish Open, earned him membership for the main European Tour for 1998. He won his first European Tour title at the 2003 Diageo Championship at Gleneagles. Daniel Gaunt (golfer)
Daniel Stephen Gaunt (born 14 November 1978) is an Australian professional golfer. Gaunt was born in Lancefield, Victoria near Melbourne. His brother Chris is also a professional golfer. He lives in New Malden, England, with his wife, Caroline, and four children. He tied with Terry Pilkadaris for the Australian Medal in 1997 and turned professional in 1999. His nickname "Peter Pan" comes from the fact he’s always fighting a hook. Gaunt qualified for the European Tour via qualifying school at the end of 2003. He was unable to retain his card, and has played predominantly on lower level tours since 2005. He has won several events on those tours including four victories on the third-tier PGA EuroPro Tour. Kristoffer Per Thomas Broberg (born 1 August 1986) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Professional career Broberg started his professional career in 2010, winning twice on the Swedish mini tour. The following two years he won four events on the Nordic Golf League. The 2015 European Tour is the seventh edition of the Race to Dubai and the 44th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972. Bradley Dredge (born 6 July 1973) is a Welsh professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He has won twice on the tour, the 2003 Madeira Island Open and the 2006 Omega European Masters, both by 8 strokes. He also won the 2005 WGC-World Cup in partnership with Stephen Dodd. 2016 European Tour
The 2016 European Tour was the eighth edition of the Race to Dubai and the 45th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972. The Race to Dubai was won for the second time by Sweden's Henrik Stenson, who was also named Golfer of the Year. The Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year was Wang Jeung-hun from South Korea. David Horsey (golfer)
David Horsey (born 14 April 1985) is an English professional golfer who currently plays on the European Tour. He has won four events on the tour between 2010 and 2015. Amateur career Horsey had a successful amateur career, which included winning the 2005 Greek Amateur Championship and finishing as runner-up in the 2004 English Amateur. Julian Suri (born April 6, 1991) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the European Tour. Amateur career Suri played college golf at Duke University where he won three events and was an All-American in 2012. Professional career Suri turned professional in 2013.
