Madasun
__NOTOC__ Madasun was a three-piece British girl group, who had chart success in the UK and Australia in 2000, scoring three top 30 hits. The group consisted of Vicky Barrett (born Victoria Barrett, 12 February 1976, Hertfordshire), Abby Norman (born Abigail Norman, 13 April 1977) and Vonda Barnes previously married to TV director Ross Norman (born 20 January 1978, in Hertfordshire). They got a demo deal with V2 Records and went to Sweden to record two songs on a trial basis. They went on to release three singles and one album on V2 Records. "Don't You Worry", the most successful of the three singles, reached number 14 in the UK and number six in Australia, also being certified platinum in Australia and reaching number 20 on the Australian year-end singles chart of 2000. V2 Records
V2 Records (or V2 Music; V2 being an abbreviation for Virgin 2) is a record label that was purchased by Universal Music Group in 2007 and sold to IASin 2013. In the Benelux, V2 operates separately from PIAS, as the label bought itself out from Universal in 2007. History The label was founded in 1996 by Richard Branson, five years after he sold Virgin Records to EMI. V2 management was led by the same individuals that built Branson's renowned balloon and the control position was held by a Canadian public corporation. The company was restructured after running into financial difficulties with Branson taking control and reinventing the brand. The label was owned 95% by Morgan Stanley, the chief financier of the company, and 5% by Branson. Over the years V2 acquired Gee Street Records, Junior Boy's Own, Blue Dog Records, and Big Cat Records.
