Madarsha Union ( bn, মাদার্শা ইউনিয়ন) is a union parishad of Satkania Upazila in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It has an area of . Geography The union total area is . Madarsha Union is located in the south-western part of Satkania Upazila. The distance of this union from Upazila Sadar is about 10 kilometer. Union council ( bn, ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ, translit=iūniyan pariṣad, translit-std=IAST), also known as union parishad, rural council, rural union and simply union, is the smallest rural administrative and local government unit in Bangladesh. Banshkhali Upazila
Banshkhali ( bn, বাঁশখালী) is an upazila (administrative region) of Chattogram District in Chattogram Division, Bangladesh. Geography Banshkhali Upazila is located at in Bangladesh. Its neighbouring upazilas are Anwara and Sangu to the north, Chakaria to the south, Lohagara and Satkania to the east, and Kutubdia and the Bay of Bengal to the west. Through it runs a canal named "Shonaichari at Banshkhali" which is locally known as “Honaichari.” In the past, businessmen from Chakaria bought bamboo here and used the Shonaichari Canal to transport the bamboo to other areas. Mokkar Boli Khela is a special type of wrestling game, which is held in Madarsha Union under Chittagong Satkania Upazila every year on 07th Baishakh of Bengali year. The participants in this game are called "Bali". In the regional language of Chittagong, it is known as Bali khela. Chittagong-15 is a constituency represented in the Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament) of Bangladesh since 2014 by Abu Reza Muhammad Nezamuddin of the Awami League. The Jatiya Sangsad ( bn, জাতীয় সংসদ, lit=National Parliament, translit=Jatiyô Sôngsôd), often referred to simply as the ''Sangsad'' or JS and also known as the House of the Nation, is the supreme legislative body of Bangladesh. 2011 Bangladesh Census
In 2011, the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics, conducted a national census in Bangladesh, which provided a provisional estimate of the total population of the country as 142,319,000. The previous decennial census was the 2001 census. Data were recorded from all of the districts and upazilas and main cities in Bangladesh including statistical data on population size, households, sex and age distribution, marital status, economically active population, literacy and educational attainment, religion, number of children etc. Bangladesh and India also conducted their first joint census of areas along their border in 2011. According to the census, Hindus constituted 8.5 per cent of the population as of 2011, down from 9.6 per cent in the 2001 census.
