Baptised Marie Brigitte Joseph Coymans (19 January 1789 – 24 December 1873), and known as Josephine Rens, Madame Rens was an early and affluent New South Wales settler and businesswoman. Early life Rens was born in Tournai Tournai or Tournay ( ; ; nl, Doornik ; pcd, Tornai; wa, Tornè ; la, Tornacum) is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium.
