Madam Lindes Institut
Madam Lindes Institut, was a Danish Girls' School, active in Copenhagen from 1786 until 1845.arol Gold: Educating Middle Class Daughters: Private Girls Schools in Copenhagen 1790–1820' During its duration, it was one of the largest schools for girls in Denmark, had a special position as it was placed under the protection of the Royal Danish House, and was considered the foremost school for upper class girls in Denmark. The school was founded by Anette Linde (1763-1815), and managed by her daughters after her death. It accepted pupils between the age of seven and seventeen, divided in five classes. The school was a fashionable and exclusive pension for upper class daughters, and focused on language (French, German and English) and accomplishments. It was in that aspect typical of the many finishing schools common in Copenhagen during the 18th-century, but it was the leading school of its kind during its foundation and the last of its kind. Anette Linde
Anette Ingegerd Olsson (born 21 June 1971), known by the stage name Anette Olzon, is a Swedish singer, best known as the former lead vocalist of Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish from 2007 to 2012. She is also the vocalist of Swedish classic rock band Alyson Avenue, and of the Finnish heavy metal band The Dark Element. Early life Olzon was raised in a musical family and has been singing since childhood. Her mother also forced her to play the oboe for eight years. She toured with her mother's band and sang with them on some occasions. Later, she started to take part in various talent shows and received laudable recognition. Finishing School
A finishing school focuses on teaching young women social graces and upper-class cultural rites as a preparation for entry into society. The name reflects that it follows on from ordinary school and is intended to complete the education, with classes primarily on deportment and etiquette, with academic subjects secondary. It may consist of an intensive course, or a one-year programme. In the United States it is sometimes called a charm school. Graeme Donald claims that the educational ladies' salons of the late 19th century led to the formal, finishing institutions evidenced in Switzerland around that time. At their peak, thousands of wealthy young women were sent to the dozens of finishing schools available. A primary goal was to teach students to acquire husbands.
