Mad Oak Studios
Mad Oak Studios is a recording studio located in Allston, Massachusetts neighborhood of Boston, United States. It was established in the year 2000 by Craig Riggs and Frank Pagliughi, who were later joined by PK Pandey and long-time head engineer Benny Grotto as co-owners. History Mad Oak Studios’ original location was formerly home to a wood-working shop called Mad Oak Wood Working. Craig Riggs, then-frontman of the rock band Roadsaw, realized that much of his band's revenue was being spent on studio time, and became determined to open a recording studio catering to musicians with limited income who did not want to be forced to compromise the recording quality of their music for financial reasons. He partnered with Frank Pagliughi, and together they took over the wood shop’s space. After adopting the woodshop's name, Mad Oak Studios was born in the year 2000. The Ducky Boys
The Ducky Boys are a street punk band from Boston. Since forming in 1995 in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, the band has released six full-length albums and over 80 songs. The band's name is derived from the name of an Irish street gang in the 1979 movie, '' The Wanderers''. For the past ten years, the band has been composed of frontman Mark Lind (bass guitar and vocals), Jason Messina drums and guitarist Douglas Sullivan. Oddzar
Oddzar is an American rock band formed in 1999 in Columbia, Maryland. Their original line-up consisted of high school friends Russ Eckell (vocals), David Nenner (guitar), Travis Lockhart (bass), and Blake Silvea (drums). The four were heavily influenced by funk metal bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against the Machine, as well as Pearl Jam. Shortly after their formation, Nenner left the group to form Truth Be Told and was replaced by Greg Jung in 2000. The quartet reworked their style, drawing from influences such as Tool and Muse. "We felt a need to avoid musical trends such as pop-punk, emo, and rap-metal," said Eckell. In 2002, the band was signed to DCide Records of Nothingface fame. New Collisions (also known as The New Collisions) is a new wave pop band from Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. History After gaining popularity in the Boston/Cambridge club scene, New Collisions was discovered in 2009 by Greg Hawkes of The Cars, who had become a fan of the band's live performances. Hawkes collaborated with the group on their debut EP, ''Invisible Embraces'', produced by Anthony Resta (Duran Duran, Blondie, Collective Soul), and joined New Collisions onstage at several early shows. The Lights Out
The Lights Out is a rock band that formed in 2005 in Boston, Massachusetts. A band not signed to a major record label, they have nevertheless been able to sustain themselves, self-releasing a string of EPs and full-length albums since 2007. Biography The band started when Rishava Green and Matt King met in the Model Café in Allston, Massachusetts, where they decided to form a band before ever playing a note together. Damian Joseph Kulash Jr. (born October 7, 1975) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and music video director, best known for being the lead singer and guitarist of the American rock band OK Go. Early life and education Kulash was born in Washington D.C. on October 7, 1975. Kulash graduated from St. Albans School in 1994. He trained as a youth at the Interlochen Arts Camp. Gang Green
Gang Green is an American punk rock band originally from Braintree, Massachusetts. Chris Doherty (guitar), Bill Manley (bass) and Mike Dean (drums) started the band in 1980 and broke up in 1983. Doherty reformed Gang Green the following year, and the band experienced numerous lineup changes until its dissolution for the second time in 1992.
