Maciej Wilusz
Maciej Wilusz (born 25 August 1988) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Club career On 8 June 2017, he signed a 3-year contract with the Russian Premier League club FC Rostov. His contract was terminated by mutual consent on 15 January 2020. On 16 January 2020, he signed with Russian Premier League club FC Ural Yekaterinburg. International career In 2014, he was called up by the Poland national coach Adam Nawałka to the Poland national football team. Adam Nawałka
Adam Nawałka (; born 23 October 1957) is a retired Polish football player and former manager of Poland. Player career Club Nawałka comes from a footballing family. His father, Adam, played for the local team Orlęta (Eaglets) Rudawa. Nawałka began his career in 1969 with Wisła Kraków. His debut in Polish top-tier league was on 21 May 1975. He played 190 matches in the highest class of Polish association football, scoring 9 goals. In 1985, he left Wisła to join the United States club, Polish-American Eagles. He played most of his career for ''The White Star''. He started having recurrent injuries in the fall of 1978, and despite repeated surgeries, he had to retire from professional soccer in 1984. The 2016–17 Ekstraklasa (currently named Lotto Ekstraklasa due to sponsorship reasons) was the 83rd season of the Ekstraklasa, the top Polish professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1927. A total of 16 teams were participating, 14 of which competed in the league during the 2014–15 season, while the remaining two were promoted from the I Liga. The 2013–14 I liga was the sixth season of the Polish I liga under its current title, and the sixty-sixth season of the second highest division in the Polish football league system. The season began on 27 July 2013 and concluded on 7 June 2014. According to the competition rules, all clubs are required to field at least one youth player (born on 1993 or later and Polish or trained in Poland) in every game (except for the times when the only youth player on the roster is sent off or unable to continue playing). Poland Ekstraklasa (), meaning "Extra Class" in Polish, named PKO Ekstraklasa since the 2019–20 season due to its sponsorship by PKO Bank Polski, is the top Polish professional league for men's association football teams. Contested by 18 clubs, operating a system of promotion and relegation with the I liga, seasons start in July, and end in May or June the following year. Teams play a total of 34 games each. The 2011–12 Ekstraklasa was the 78th season of the highest level of football leagues in Poland since its establishment in 1927. It started on 29 July 2011 and concluded on 6 May 2012. A total of 16 teams participated, 14 of which competed in the league during the 2010–11 season, while the remaining two were promoted from the 2010–11 season of the I Liga. II liga (Druga Liga, ), currently named eWinner II liga due to sponsorship reasons by eWinner, is a Polish football league that sits at the third tier of the Polish football league system. Until the end of the 2007–08 season ''II Liga'' referred to a league at the 2nd tier, although this changed with the formation of the Ekstraklasa as the top level league in Poland. Currently, II liga is below I liga and above III liga. Since the 2014/15 season there is one group making up the II Liga unlike in previous seasons when there were two groups (''West'' and ''East''). I liga ( pl, Pierwsza liga, ), currently named Fortuna I liga due to its sponsorship by Fortuna, is the men's second professional association football division of the Polish football league system, below the Ekstraklasa and above the II liga via promotion/relegation systems.
