Future Leaders of the World is a rock band formed in 2003. The band released their debut album, '' LVL IV'' in 2004, before going through a period of being named Machina, featuring former Evanescence members guitarist John LeCompt and drummer Rocky Gray. After a hiatus, the band reformed in 2014 and released another album under the "Future Leaders of the World" name, ''Reveal'', in March 2015. History Formation and ''LVL IV'' Future Leaders of the World was formed by guitarist and singer Phil Taylor, who formed the group in Buffalo, New York with drummer Carl Messina and bassist Toby Cole. Taylor recorded a demo with Shawn Rivera of Az Yet and executive producer Allan Fray in Los Angeles. At a later time, Jake Stutevoss was also added on guitar. The group signed with Epic Records and released a full-length album, LVL IV. Machina is a clothing brand company specializing in wearable technology based in Mexico City and San Francisco, accelerated by Highway1 and Wayra. The company attempted to make a MIDI controlling jacket. A 2012 review in TechCrunch called the jacket "a cool concept and an interesting and kinetic way to trigger and control beats and sounds." The company was founded in 2011 by Linda Franco, Antonio Perdigón, and Daniel Fernández de Córdova. A Kickstarter project in 2013 produced a prototype, with a delay of almost a year behind the projected delivery date. Since then, there have been no substantial updates and the announced open-source hardware has not materialized. ''Machina'' was a monthly music magazine published in Poland between from 1995 to 2002, and from 2006 to 2012. The title was subsequently reduced to a website but ultimately ceased activity in 2015. History The magazine began activity in 1995 and its founder was Marek Kościkiewicz, one of the members of a popular Polish pop rock group De Mono. The first editor-in-chief was Andrzej Sienkiewicz, later replaced by Bogna Świątkowska and Marcin Prokop. Its contributors included Grzegorz Brzozowicz, Paweł Dunin-Wąsowicz, Rafał Bryndal, Daniel Wyszogrodzki, and musician Kazik Staszewski, among others. ''Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music'' is the sixth studio album by the American alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins. It was released for free on the Internet on September 5, 2000. Plans for a standard physical release, bundled with the first part '' Machina/The Machines of God'', were revealed to happen sometime in 2013, but was postponed due to legal setbacks. In an Instagram Q&A in 2018, the band's frontman, Billy Corgan, revealed that all legal issues had been resolved. The two albums are planned to be remastered and released as a deluxe reissue; however, no release date has been announced. The album itself, a double LP, was packaged with three EPs full of B-sides and alternate versions. The album's artwork was created by Carlos Segura.
