Machap Jaya is a state constituency in Malacca, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Melaka State Legislative Assembly. The state constituency was first contested in 2018 and is mandated to return a single Assemblyman to the Melaka State Legislative Assembly under the first-past-the-post voting system. , the State Assemblyman for Machap Jaya is Ngwe Hee Sem from the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), which is part of the state's ruling coalition, Barisan Nasional (BN). The Election Commission of Malaysia ( ms, Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya Malaysia), abbreviated SPR or EC, is a commission set up for ensuring fair and equitable operations in undertaking the elections in Malaysia. Ngwe Hee Sem ( or Ah Sem, born ) is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Melaka State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh since April 2023 for the second term and under former Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali from November 2021 to March 2023 for the first term as well as Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Machap Jaya since November 2021. 2021 Malacca State Election
The 2021 Malacca state election, formally the 15th Malacca state election, took place on 20 November 2021. This election was to elect 28 members of the 15th Malacca State Legislative Assembly. The previous assembly was dissolved on 4 October 2021. The snap election of the state was called prematurely following a political crisis. The People's Justice Party ( ms, Parti Keadilan Rakyat , often known simply as KEADILAN or PKR) is a reformist political party in Malaysia, formed in 2003 by a merger of the National Justice Party and the older Malaysian People's Party. The Alliance of Hope ( ms, Pakatan Harapan; abbrev: PH; stylized as HARAPAN) is a Malaysian political coalition consisting of centre-left political parties which was formed in 2015 to succeed the Pakatan Rakyat coalition. Ginie Lim Siew Lin
Ginie Lim Siew Lin (林秀凌) is a Malaysian woman politician. Ginie Lim is a member of People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. Lim served as a one-term Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Machap Jaya from May 2018 to November 2021 and during which she also appointed a Malacca State Executive Council (EXCO) member as Chairman of the Women, Welfare and Rural Development from 2018 until the 2020 political crisis.
